Ackerman, a lawyer whose work during this era offers important lessons for our present-day challenges.

David B. Parker earned his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina in 1988 and his M.A. in 1982. He earned an A.B. degree from Duke University in 1979. He has been a professor at Kennesaw State University since 1993.
