It's easy to become distracted and lose sight of what's important--and that is to worship God. Deuteronomy 9:12-27 describes one of many instances where Israel was distracted. God spared Israel through the mediation of Moses. Jesus came down from heaven to stand in the gap for us as sinners. He has made a way for us to be reconciled with the Father.
