Bruce Springsteen wrote Born To Run about three things:  the road, the car, and the girl. That’s it. He figured the essence of Rock and Roll boiled down to just those three things. But who was Born to Run? He decided the song would be about the real lives of the hard working blue collar workers that he saw in his neighborhood every day.
