With everyone in the county of Suffolk looking real sus and no actual suspects, it's very hard to know who to trust and who not to trust or if there's anyone you actually can trust that handled this case. From the dirty D.A. to the scoundrel of a chief of police, these girls had no hope of being found unless the FBI took over. Unfortunately, James Burke saw to it that they were blocked from ever investigating, but why? Why would the brand new COP ever do that to a case as high profiled as this one? And why would the district attorney himself ever okay this motion? Well, basically, they sucked. 

On top of the whole department lookin like a buncha goofballs, how the fuck did Michael Pak get away with leaving Shannan to just run through a neighborhood all willy nilly and never actually get out on foot to help her? How was a lie detector enough to clear him, when CLEARLY this has happened before? Was it an inside job where he was delivering these sex workers to their death? does the department have a dark dirty secret working amongst them? Is there more than one killer afoot?
