The walls are built, the people are there, now, firm foundations need laying - where better to start then with God's Word. In a day where it has been abandoned, Ezra, stands up and reads God's word and it brings transformation - the very thing we need today.

In the book of Nehemiah we find the city of David, Jerusalem, in ruins. In lots of ways it was due to failings over many years, of the people of God, to trust, follow and serve Him. Even after God continually draws them back to him; is patient, slow to anger and abounding in love, they persist in their sin and find themselves and their city in ruins. But God is about a great work of restoration, in their lives and in our lives today.
