I didn’t want to like “How Did This Get Made” when friends of mine recommended it to me. This was before I even started podcasting on my own…but describing it to me as” a show where they watched all of these bad movies (my friend’s description- not HDTGM)” and then my friend went on to name a large number of things I owned and enjoyed…so for me it was a non-starter. Aren’t there already enough comedian’s making fun of things that I love…for good or for ill? Do I really need to take the time to listen to somebody else opine on John Stamos in “Never Too Young To Die?” The answer was a resounding, wholehearted “YES.” Paul Scheer (aka John), June Diane Raphael, and Jason Mantzuokas hold court often in front of an audience, sometimes with guests, breaking down a variety of films- some obscure, some mainstream but all invariable flawed enough to honest ask the question “How did this get made?” It’s well worth your time.

Two hundred episodes in and this show is still hilarious.

This is it folks. The definition of #podcastgoals! Paul, Jason, and Diane are hilarious, brilliant, and have tremendous chemistry. You don't even have to watch or know the movies to find this show hilarious and addictive.

Team Fred! Need I say more?Okay, I will! They cover bad, weird and sometimes overlooked cult classics (mainly they cover bad movies) and the banter of the hosts and guests make for a joyful listen.

Hopefully you know these folks from their work all over the big and small screen. If you do and like their personas, you will probably like this podcast.If you do not know them, I would describe them as college humor. They are not afraid to go low brow, so be ready for that and do not listen with your children.The three hosts have amazing chemistry and the concept is fantastic. If you like movies, this is a great show to have in your rotation. It is a show for which you do not have to listen to every episode but you will miss some of the inside jokes that build up over the course of many episodes and the occasional call back. I personally get more out of the episodes in which I have at least seen the trailer for the movie. If you are looking to jump in (since the back catalog is quite overwhelming) I would suggest Geostorm

Though it's not my favorite this podcast keeps finding itself in my heavy rotation. It requires more involvement than other podcasts since you'd have to see the movie (or even a trailer) to get which movie they're watching. Probably very intensive and fun for those who have the commitment to keep up with this movie club.Nonetheless, the hilarious chemistry of Paul, June and Jason is addicting. I would probably listen to anything they'd make.

One of the classic podcasts of all time, built around the simple pleasure of laughing at terrible films, but with the laughing being done by three very accomplished performers. I confess I stopped listening when the episodes became longer (there are one or two which are so long, you could watch the film being described in that time), but it's still a classic in how chemistry between performers works in a podcast, and how to build up in-jokes so that the audience 's loyalty is recommended. I actually haven't seen most of these films, but it never mattered; the laughs still come!
