What pleasure it was to interview Rusty: an Occupational Therapist with Gold Coast Health who is interesting, passionate and hilarious (among other things).

Rusty has spent the last ten years working in OT both in the acute setting and in the community and more recently has been working in palliative care and oncology. We were lucky to hear about Rusty's pursuit of "cuddle beds" which allows palliative patients intimacy through the availability of double beds that palliative patients can share with loved ones whilst staying in hospital in the final stages of their lives. 

Rusty shared his personal journey to surrogacy with his husband Scott and bravely shared all the details: how, why, where, who.. And now Rusty is father to Finn who is 10 years old and Maisie who is 9 years old.

Pure delight in human form.. now to work out how to bottle him up!
