It is official - the New York Mets are signing free agent catcher James McCann to a contract worth around 40 million dollars for four years!  This is an instant upgrade at catcher for the NY Mets, who are trying to improve quickly by spending big money after the sale of the team to Steve Cohen.  This move follows up the signing of free agent reliever Trevor May and there are also rumors that the Mets are favorites to sign George Springer!!
