It's tough when you first get out of law school: your parents want you to work in a family business, your dad follows you to the courtroom, and your mayor wants you to "clean up" the city's homosexual culture. Harvey's first year out of law school may not have been his most glorious, but it certainly set the stage for a life of social justice.
