This is quite awkward; the conversation feels like what I would have imagined between the couples from Married after first sight?!? I was too surprised to hear that they - Monique and Pablo- had been dating for 4 years! They have different mentalities and different expectations. Also, they communicate poorly. Pablo is quite irrational with his impulsive decisions that he takes without consulting with his partner; not working to support his girlfriend singing career by tutoring during college and buying tickets to please the girlfriend but not disclosing how much he paid until this interview! Monique on the other hand acts like the damsel in distress; Support me- take care of me- do everything for me ? If she isn’t a gold digger, I don’t know what shall I call her other than that? Moreover, she keeps referring to Pablo as more experienced, having more money, and older as a justification for expecting more but in reality she is emotionally manipulating him into making decisions that ate irrational such as buying the tickets, quitting his job to please her. It seems everything has to be revolved around the one and only Monique. Cut you loss, Pablo. Leave this woman ASAP.
