In most organizations, innovation as a practice doesn't have the same level of legitimacy as other teams and practices have. And part of the reason is institutional blindness.

Unfortunately, institutional blindness is a real thing. As soon as a new employee joins the organization, they get too focused on their KPI, and they start to lose one of the most important aspects in innovation, context.
