A phone call came 5 years ago today announcing the unexpected end of my little sister’s life and of my own life as I had known it to be up until that point…A phone call with a childhood friend I hadn’t spoken to, let alone thought about in at least a decade, connected the past with the present…A phone call from some wrong number or from nobody at all – or so it would seem – opened my eyes to something I would have missed…and gave to me a message that – again – shifted my perspective and gave me yet another higher level of understanding.

The unexpected "IT" takes so many shapes and forms, bringing to us what we may not realize in the moment exactly what is meant to be.

A storyteller at heart who built a career in writing, media & marketing, Paolina Milana is grateful for the magic AND the madness she's experienced.
