Allah (swt) says in the Quran, “The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.”

If we just think of this one example of the one seed of charity that we put in the path of Allah (swt), and it gone under ground, and you can’t see anything for a while. But after a while, it starts growing, and you see from that, 700 and even more. Another example, we are investing our time studying in hope to reap our investment after graduated, hoping to get our money back from investing in tuition fees and more on top of it. This is also how Allah shows that just one sadaqah that we put in the box, it goes into the dakwah, or even multiple good things, we will not just get the rewards in the akhirah, but also we are helping the community in this world.
