Our very first guest is the soon-to-be Dr. Salisha Allard-Blaisdell.
In her words, she grew up dirt poor,
At age 11, she didn't know how to read,
At age 15 she was orphaned,
The odds were stacked against her,
Yet two decades later, she is on her way to obtaining her Ph.D. at the Center for Leadership Studies at Northwest University.
In this episode, we talk about her journey, influential people in her life, her passion for leadership, the struggles of being a single parent, while working and doing full-time school, and the importance of peer mentoring groups!!
It was such a pleasure to talk to Salisha and I hope you enjoy this episode.
All my love,
Nana
