On this episode of Impact The Outcome, I sat down with Naomie Labaty, recipient of Beacon of Hope Award by the Consulate General of Haiti in Miami. She previously served as a co-host of Plezi Soley, a weekly cultural show on Island TV and co-founder of Boukan Night, a bi-weekly cultural and artistic show at North Miami’s MOCA Café. She is also the author of Lalin ak Soley, a short story book with poems.
I also sat down with Angie Bell, honoree of Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce 20 under 30 Young Professionals. Former co-chair of the Fundraising and Public Relations Committee at the Haitian American Professionals Coalition (HAPC) and the former Marketing Director of the Haitian American Historical Society. Founder of PouBèlAyiti, an artistic environmental movement aimed to keep the streets of Haiti clean by creating garbage cans to place in schools and public palaces. She is the author of Pwezi Agogo. Like Naomie, she is one of the three co-hosts of Ayiti Parle.
