On this episode we have Portland Thomas on to talk about her experience working on the 2020 elections plus her perspective on acting, religion, and politics! Portland is a NY based actor, model, and creator. She is originally from Philly and holds a BFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts where she studied African American history, post colonialism and decolonization in addition to acting. She is currently co- creating the play ‘Voices from a Pandemic’ and is filming the Short film Whitewashed. Portland seeks to create uplifting, divergent, and thought provoking work that showcases dark skinned black women and people of color in complex, fully developed, contemporary characters through the mediums of film, tv and theatre.
