In this episode, host Caroline Schafer chats with Spouse-ly vendor provider Tagen Towsley-Baker of Lost River Lavender

“When we read with children, we are doing something spectacular ~

Tagen works full-time as a technical writer but always wanted something for herself on the side. Lost River Lavender is her creative outlet.

Lost River Lavender began in 2017 when we were stationed at Beale AFB in Northern California. We bought a home on 5 acres where I began my dream of growing lavender. My husband knew more about lavender than I did since he worked on a lavender farm while attending school in Northern Utah and in the ROTC program.  We have since moved on to another base, took what plants we could with us, and sent the rest to Idaho, where they encountered a fair amount of snow. Most of my lavender transplants have survived all the moves. Lavender is a resilient and tough plant, just like military spouses. All our products are made by hand and all-natural. We do not use any pesticides or herbicides.
