"How much money do we have in the pardner?" Who remembers when their parents/friends used to collectively deposit money into a 'pot' for group activities and investments over the course of the year? The Pardner - a way for black communities to accumulate funds to put towards something of value that was of mutual benefit. Fast forward 30+ years, and we now have Kwanda - the modern collection pot for black communities.
