IIABCal Voices Host James Lott, Jr., sat down with IIABCal member Ashley Arikawa to discuss the changing culture of the insurance industry for young people of color, how social media can promote an insurance agency outside the business of insurance, and the importance of community outreach. As Senior Vice President of Sales at The J. Morey Company, Inc. Insurance Agents & Brokers, a second-generation, family-owned Japanese American insurance brokerage, Arikawa oversees new business sales, community relations and marketing. Arikawa discusses her previous work in public relations at the clinical skincare brand Murad, LLC, as well as her position as an Executive Board Member for the Nisei Week Foundation and a Los Angeles representative on the New Generation Nikkei Fund voting council.
