Virginia Creates Kentucky County and the beginning of the Bloody 77
Upon approval of the gunpowder for Kentucky, Clark wrote and sent a letter to the settlers in Kentucky, informing them that the supply would arrive at Fort Pitt and that they should dispatch some men to and get it. The settlers never received the letter. Clark and Jones then settled in to wait for the fall session of the legislature.
