It has been proven that women make some of the best leaders in almost any organization. We think differently. We consider all of the bits and pieces of a problem rather than just one area over another. So why are we still told that we are too emotional or irrational to lead?

This question is the basis for Patricia Haywood’s company Master BuildHers. Not only are women amazing leaders, they’re also absolutely imperative to male-dominated fields.

But we have to stop seeing other women as competition. Why are we so quick to tear one another down when we all rise as we build each other up? It all starts at an extremely early age for girls. We are conditioned to see each other as competition for everything without building up our confidence and belief in our self-worth.

Listen as Patricia shares her thoughts on how teachers can help young women and girls believe in themselves and how this would positively impact the world and the workforce. Patricia is a force and she’s helping other women to see and understand that about themselves as well.

Remember, just because the field is male-dominated doesn’t mean that you are not needed.
