Brewskies, Umbrellas, and Morale GhostsWelcome, meet The Merry Few, a band who follows a shaky line of morality in the hopes that they follow a path of the greater good! Chad Blazer, the broiest paladin you'll ever meet, Bo Vine a dwarven cleric of a god of Justice and Cows, and Marielle a ranger on a quest to find 151 RARE bugs (Don't forget Sneakapoo), have teamed up to gather more gold for the next night of drinks. Right out the gate this podcast leads you straight to the laughs, the cast does a fantastic job bouncing off one another when joking about and the introduction of a sassy morality ghost just adds to it! Sam, the DM, brings you a story based around discrimination against magic and casters alike in a rough and tumble world where people are more likely to attack what they fear rather than seek understanding. At first The Merry Few seem rather murderous (And to be fair, they have done their fair share) but then as they progress in the world and make it to the town of Kurusa, you see that this world is very much set in a tone where death is just a wrong step away and that heroes are just a shade of grey away from a villain. Sam does a great job bringing that forward and allowing the cast to walk amongst this. This helps lead to Chad questioning the killing they have done, Merrielle to struggle against making peace and keeping her friends alive, and Bo Vine to continue to step deeper into the blood path his god demands. If you're in the mood for a podcast with plenty of laughs, character growths in ways you don't at first expect, and a story that dances with the sorrows of oppression and persecution, then this is the podcast for you!
What these guys lack in season length they make up for in hilarity and great story telling. Short, sharp and succinct seasons deliver you a fantastically condensed story with lots of laughs, wracked nerves and, just occasionally, cannibalism.
