Today s guest is John Barrett the Executive Director of ISSA. Every time I have a chance to get around John Barrett, he inspires me. He challenges my thinking. He asks just amazing, great, in-depth questions to get you thinking. And as the leader of ISSA, he and his team understand the disruptive forces that are going to be impacting his members. And as he’ll tell you in this episode, at ISSA they have a multi-sided business model where they are focused not only on the distributors in the channel but also the manufacturers and the contractors as well as the allied providers like equipment manufacturers and software providers.
In this conversation we get John’s view of the disruptive forces that are impacting businesses certainly here in North America but around the world. John recently returned from a 21-day trip covering four continents where he’s listening to his members. We talk about some of the innovative initiatives that he’s got going on at ISSA with his team including the partnership we have formed together to bring a new innovative education offering to their INTERCLEAN international trade show in September. ISSA will have over 16,000 people and we’re proud to be partnering with them. I know you’re going to get a ton out of my conversation with John.
