I'd like to share a little story with you ;)

Once upon a time, there was a young, ambitious employee called Mitch.
And every day, she would go to her office hoping that something would disrupt her extensive desk-sitting-till-she-could-feel-her-bones routine.

One day it happened.

Mitch got invited to a BRAINSTORMING SESSION. A real one, with colleagues, ideas, and relevance. Mitch got so excited. How many ideas will the team come up with? Will she be able to contribute her passion and creativity?

Fast forward, this session did not go as imagined. 

After one hour of discussing 3 ideas that were the last session's outcome. And turning 2 new ones down because "that has been done before."

She got soooooo frustrated. 

"Is this how it's supposed to be? Are brainstormings supposed to feel like a panel with only a third of the team involved?"

Luckily, this is not the end of the story.

Because she's such a smart girl and never gives up. She went online and discovered:

The 8 Golden Rules For Brainstorming.   

She rejoiced: "There is a solution!!"

And so this was a happy end: She presented the rules to the team, made sure they made they'd owned it. And ever since, the brainstorming sessions are filled with tons of innovation, joy, and focus. Real teamwork!
