Asma was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, in 1992, during the civil war. Growing up during the civil war and later as a refugee, Asma believes that educating children and teaching them the right values is indispensable for cultivating personal and societal wellbeing.
Asma obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Kabul University. She is an active volunteer for a number of nonprofit organizations, and serves on the board of numerous organizations, including the American Chamber of Commerce in Afghanistan and the Enabled Children Initiative. The latter is the first organization working on the rights of persons with disabilities in Afghanistan by educating and empowering children with disabilities to help them become active members of their communities.
Asma works at AMS Integrated Solution as an External Relations Manager. She joined the company in 2020 from the Embassy of Afghanistan where she served as the Events Manager and Executive Assistant to the Ambassador. As the Manager, she is also responsible for AMS’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Through CSR, Asma supports vulnerable communities in countries where the company operates.
