Most of us spend a lot of time on marketing but not a lot on sales. To clarify, we do the marketing - attracting people to us through social media or search engines. But once we have their attention, we’re not sure how to close the deal. We haven’t spent much time thinking through our sales process. Or, we realize it’s missing something.

This episode looks at one step in the sales process - phone calls. Yes! I wrote PHONE CALLS!

Many of us would rather sit in a room of rotting garbage than get on the phone.

But there are some steps we can take - like creating a script! - to help us confidently call people who’ve inquired about our services/products.

And note, this isn’t about cold calls. This episode is about following up with potential customers who have inquired already, usually by a form on our site.

It’s about writing an elevator pitch and using it, plus a few other steps, to make a phone script that puts you one step closer to making the sale.

I must say a big thank you to Sarah-Daye and Gari-Ann from Micro-Weddings Virgina and Sarah Mae Dickinson from SMD Coaching. This episode would not have been possible without these 3 savvy and smart ladies.
