First, Stephanie Osborn is an American scientist and science fiction author who has worked on the Space Shuttle program. started working for Teledyne Brown Engineering in Huntsville, Alabama in 1985, specializing in programs involving the Space Shuttle and International Space Station. She spent several years working on Spacelab programs involving the Space Shuttle, experience which led to the writing of Burnout. The first draft of Burnout, which involves loss of a fictional re-entering space shuttle, was complete prior to loss of the Space Shuttle Columbia, which flew several of the Spacelab missions she had supported; she also helped train Kalpana Chawla, who was lost aboard Columbia. She was space scientist guest at Marscon in Bloomington, Minnesota, in 2005,[7] and an author guest at Con†Stellation in Huntsville, Alabama in 2008 and 2009.Second, Professor Allan Gilbreath is a nationally recognized and award-winning author, storyteller, publisher, speaker, and instructor. He has appeared on television, stage, radio, web/pod cast, and tours the country in live appearances. He has served on numerous convention panels covering a wide range of topics from the serious to the outrageous. In his vampire novels, Galen and Dark Chances, Allan links fantasy with danger and satisfaction with death to excellent effect, and the plot tension between the various characters sets a wonderful stage for the little details that bring it all to life.
