Andrea Dean Van Scoyoc is an American Horror-Sinisteria author. Andrea describes the genre (which she is often times miscredited in creating) as “creepy, macabre and sadistic” fiction, which is “not necessarily gory, but makes shivers go up your spine.” Her stories are typically populated with vampires, zombies, shapeshifters and other supernatural creatures and generally focus on homosexual gothic or twisted coming of age themes. Many of her works revolve around violent occult situations.Her novel, A Man of Two Worlds was chosen as Preditors and Editors' Best Horror Novel of 2005.Andrea has also placed in the top-ten Preditors and Editors awards in 2006 and 2007. In 2006, she came in second place, while in 2007, she came in third. She is also a Best Selling Author.
