Johann er død. 37 år gammel.  Mindre end et døgn tidligere har en vagtlæge set ham på video og vurderet, at han ikke var alvorligt syg.  

Johanns forlovede finder ham død i soveværelset. Da chokket har lagt sig, sætter hun sig for at få svar på, hvad der skete med ham.  Og det viser sig, at der kan sættes spørgsmålstegn ved myndighedernes håndtering af forløbet(klagesag), og at vagtlæger i andre sager også har overset symptomer på akut sygdom under et videokald.
