All right, so welcome back to It's
1:24
Still Happening podcast y'all. this
1:26
will be interesting. I
1:29
mean, what episode isn't, let's be honest. For
1:32
those of you who are listening to the
1:34
regular audio recorded podcast,
1:37
you don't know, but I will tell you, I'm
1:39
also video recording this episode
1:41
for the first time and it's going
1:43
up on YouTube. So if you like
1:46
to experience podcasts
1:48
with seeing the person, which
1:51
is basically like, I don't know.
1:54
Visual podcast and then head over
1:56
to my YouTube channel. I'll leave
1:58
the link in the show notes so
2:00
you can actually watch me. Swing
2:03
in my outdoor office chair,
2:06
as I'm looking out into the jungle and
2:08
enjoying the warm breeze
2:10
of South Florida's weather in
2:13
this episode. So, if you guys don't
2:15
know, and if you're listening in real time, you will
2:17
know that I took a week off just
2:19
to reflect on our first month back to
2:21
this season, this final season of
2:23
its Still Happening podcast. And I
2:25
really enjoyed taking a little bit of pause
2:27
to look at not just the data.
2:30
Of the podcast, but also
2:33
what all I have to say. There's
2:35
so many different topics that we're covering,
2:38
that it was just beautiful to go back and actually listen
2:40
to the episodes myself.
2:43
if you ever, you know, notice like
2:45
in season one and season two, I think I mentioned that I never
2:47
go back and listen to the podcast, but this
2:50
time I did. And. And
2:52
listening to that, I just was like, oh my God, we have to talk
2:54
about something that I haven't talked about
2:56
in a while. So, that's what this episode
2:59
is all about. So
3:01
in last episode, I walked
3:03
y'all through. If you did not listen to it, I
3:05
highly suggest that you go back and do. I
3:08
talked about the different phases of
3:11
the healing and the empowerment journey that
3:13
I know every woman goes through.
3:15
Like I have not met a
3:17
woman who has not moved through these different phases
3:19
of empowerment, growth, self-development,
3:22
self-acceptance. and the reason
3:24
I was so inspired to even document
3:27
that and share it is one,
3:29
it's a big component of my upcoming book,
3:31
paths to Freedom. And
3:33
also I keep hearing
3:35
and seeing people talking about
3:37
how hard it is to break generational
3:40
patterns, how hard it is to create the life of
3:42
their dreams, how lonely they feel doing
3:44
life differently than their mothers,
3:46
their sisters, their aunties, their fathers,
3:48
their family members, essentially. And I was like,
3:50
gosh, this whole like, loneliness,
3:53
belonging, fear of being.
3:55
Left behind or leaving people behind
3:58
because you're choosing to create
4:00
the life that's aligned with your souls calling,
4:02
and that brings all the juice and the blessings
4:04
and the joy back into, or
4:06
into your family, your lineage at a different
4:08
level. And so I was like, gosh, like we really
4:10
need to outline this whole situation.
4:12
And in that episode, like I don't, I'm not
4:15
gonna recap the whole episode for y'all, so you should definitely go
4:17
back and listen to it. But, And one
4:19
of the biggest insights, uh, I've witnessed
4:21
in my life and also in my clients, is that the
4:23
beginning of that journey most
4:26
times is either,
4:28
um, I
4:31
wanna say fueled by, inspired
4:33
by, or even hindered by money,
4:36
right? Either you have the money
4:38
already and you're like, you know what? I love
4:40
my career, or I've been loving my career, but
4:42
I feel very unfi. And
4:45
because I have some savings, cuz I do have a good
4:47
job or I do have a trust or I do have family
4:49
support, I can go and explore.
4:51
I can start signing up for therapy. I
4:54
can go on a sabbatical, on a trip, I
4:56
can go on a women's retreat, um,
4:58
I can start exploring my spirituality,
5:01
you know, things like that because you already have the financial
5:03
support. Oftentimes it's
5:05
also that, lack of finances
5:08
is what's making you be like, you know what? I wanna
5:10
become an entrepreneur. I need to make more
5:12
money. I'm tired of this dead end job.
5:14
Or feeling like I have to negotiate for
5:16
raises or feeling like as soon as I make
5:18
money it goes out. But there's a lot about
5:21
our identity, our path of healing, our
5:23
path of freedom that is centered
5:25
around our relationship to money, receiving
5:27
it, having it, holding it, enjoying it, and changing our
5:29
relationship. And so, in
5:31
that episode, I talked a lot about that, especially at the beginning
5:34
of my journey and my career. And
5:36
I wanna go deeper into this today
5:38
because again, I also have talked
5:40
about in a previous episode how many people
5:43
have said, oh Ash, I found your work.
5:45
Or I know someone who worked with you and it was life changing
5:48
and it was so amazing, but I can't
5:50
afford to work with you right now. Or, But
5:52
if I pay for working with you right now,
5:54
I'm afraid I won't have enough money for other things
5:56
that I need and want, or whatever the story may
5:58
be. And I've definitely personally
6:00
been there. I have paid payment plans
6:02
to work with some of my most amazing elders
6:04
and teachers and mentors. I've paid in full
6:07
for things. I've had to, you
6:09
know, oh, pay half now and half
6:11
later I've had to do other things. So I
6:13
have a whole episode devoted to that. If you didn't
6:15
listen to it about, think it was episode 21
6:18
or 20. Go back
6:20
and check that out. But in this, I wanna
6:22
go deeper into our relationship with
6:24
money because it is such a crucial experience
6:27
of the woman who's becoming the empowered
6:29
woman, who's breaking generational patterns, who's
6:31
creating what she really wants to see in her life,
6:34
and is the first in her family to
6:36
do it in a long time as I am. And as I
6:38
assume that you also. Are.
6:41
So the journey of being
6:43
resourced financially, emotionally,
6:45
mentally, and community like
6:47
resource is not something that we can,
6:50
skip over or ignore. And a lot of times
6:52
we're self resourcing and other times we do
6:54
need to resource externally,
6:57
especially as it relates to money.
7:00
So this episode, the Money
7:02
audit is all about that,
7:05
and I will tell you, I
7:07
feel a lot of things about money. I have a lot of opinions
7:09
about money. but what I know
7:12
for sure is that all
7:15
of us, it doesn't matter what your relationship
7:17
to money looks like. It doesn't matter what your
7:19
relationship with money, how
7:21
it's looked in your family. this is
7:23
an ongoing relat. To
7:26
the energy of abundance, to the energy of currency,
7:29
to the energy of provision in
7:31
many different ways, right? So
7:33
in fact, as I was doing some research and reflecting
7:36
over all the things I know about money and what I wanna share with you,
7:39
I was actually listening to a podcast episode
7:41
of a woman who I really like so much
7:43
so that I got her book,
7:45
as an audio book and listened to it and loved
7:48
it and I loved how clean and like straight
7:50
to the point it was. And then, I actually
7:52
went and bought the physical book cause I just wanted to have the
7:54
physical, I'm more of a physical book person,
7:56
but. Sometimes, you know, you just wanna
7:58
get through the audio and audio books
8:00
are so easy to do that with. so anyway,
8:02
I bought the audio book, I bought the real book,
8:04
and then, I was thinking about something that she was
8:07
saying and it, it really
8:09
teed up this conversation around money
8:11
and even our relationship to work.
8:13
And when I started looking at
8:15
like, her platform and like digging into
8:17
a little bit more of like who she is, there was something that
8:19
really stood out to me and I know it's gonna resonate. But
8:22
in it, she was talking about how hard
8:24
she's worked to get to where she is and
8:26
how proud she is of that. she
8:28
was talking about how, you know, she's a bestselling
8:31
author, which she is. She's got like a
8:33
billboard in New York Times and. Amazing
8:36
things that she's done with her life, but over and over and over
8:38
again, whenever she tells her story about her books
8:40
and her life, she talks about how hard she
8:42
worked and how she came from a single parent home
8:44
and, you know, she worked her butt
8:46
off and nothing has been, given to her.
8:48
It's all been earned. And
8:51
you know, I get it. I came from a single family
8:53
home and. She also talked about
8:55
how like, yeah, she's no stranger to
8:57
having a work ethic and so many people want things
8:59
without putting in the work, which let me tell you, my
9:02
own mother reminds me of that. There's a lot of people
9:04
who have come to me or found
9:06
me on the internet who really admire what I do,
9:08
but they don't see all the things that go into
9:11
it. Even people that I've hired. Externally
9:13
as a client or even as just seeing me
9:15
online, they're like, oh my God, and I loved your email sequence
9:17
and I loved your videos, and, but then when it's
9:19
like time to actually work in the business, they're
9:22
like, oh my God, you make it look so easy.
9:24
Or your team's made it look so easy. How do you guys
9:26
work like this? Again, we don't work really
9:28
hard, but I'll get back to that in a second.
9:30
I'll ask, get back on this. and like
9:32
a year ago, if I would
9:34
have came across this particular author's
9:36
platform and listened to
9:39
what she was saying about working hard and coming
9:41
from a background and like putting your all
9:43
into it, and I wouldn't even use the word like grind,
9:46
but just like in it, you
9:48
know what I mean? Like in it, I know how to make something happen.
9:50
For my effort, I would've been.
9:54
Nodding my head, I would've been like
9:56
a man, sister with my hands. You know
9:58
what I mean? Like, because again, I do
10:00
come from a lineage of hardworking women.
10:02
I do come from people
10:04
who appreciated putting in the
10:06
work in order to receive what you want
10:08
or to create what you want. doing like
10:10
this makes me think of Doggett from orange as
10:12
the new black, right? Like praise God.
10:15
Yes. Hard work. Amen. You know? But
10:18
today I am not doing that. I'm not
10:20
celebrating the hard work. Um, and I'm not
10:22
shaming her. Anybody else who, is
10:24
still putting their
10:26
work ethic on a ped. Like,
10:29
because I worked hard, I'm gonna keep centering
10:31
my hard work. I'm just not doing that
10:33
anymore and I wanna talk about that in the
10:35
context of receiving money. I
10:38
don't wanna work hard anymore. I don't wanna overwork
10:41
hard to receive money
10:43
ever again in my life. I walked
10:45
away from that in my career and
10:48
I am now transforming that in
10:50
my. And
10:53
again, that does not mean to say we don't appreciate
10:55
the effort that we put in and what it has created
10:58
in our lives, but what I know for sure
11:00
is that the effort and
11:02
the work that I did in the past
11:04
to get me where I want it to go is not going
11:06
to get me to where I want to go next.
11:09
Right. My next evolution is not work
11:11
ethic. It actually is about trust
11:13
and allowing right, and collaboration
11:16
and believing, and more about the energetics
11:18
and the alignment than pure
11:21
strength and. now that does not
11:23
mean that I don't show up in ways that are considered.
11:25
Work, like obviously I wrote the script,
11:28
the things that I wanted to cover in this episode,
11:30
you know, I had to set up and like, look at how I wanted
11:32
to do my outdoor office for this particular,
11:35
video episode. And you
11:37
have to do things like check your bookkeeping and
11:39
like, you know, write things,
11:41
talk to your team about things like, yes, there is work,
11:44
but those like late nights,
11:46
it's never. Pushing,
11:48
grinding, giving your all being depleted.
11:51
again, constantly looking for something to solve.
11:54
It's just a no for me. And
11:56
what I've started to see over and over again is
11:58
that there is a synonymous relationship
12:00
again, because I truly believe it's because
12:02
we're American. I'm American. Some of you listening
12:05
may not be, but the Western
12:07
approach to money
12:09
only comes from hard work is a spell
12:12
that's over us. Now,
12:15
I'm not saying you can just lay on your back and
12:17
be lazy and have no creativity
12:19
or no doing anything.
12:22
Just be a couch potato and you're gonna have bku,
12:24
thousands of dollars falling into your bank account. Obviously
12:26
not. But there is an in-between
12:29
here that when you're in a aligned
12:31
action and you're doing things out of creativity,
12:33
out of love, outta inspiration, outta curiosity,
12:36
out of, bringing two things
12:38
together to make something. You
12:40
can say innovation, right? That
12:43
that is the wellspring of
12:45
receiving the finance
12:47
and the meaning in your life that you want to
12:49
receive, as opposed to it being from,
12:52
I worked hard and now I get to receive money. So,
12:55
it's a no to me to being, you know,
12:57
breaking your back to receive money. I'm
12:59
not forcing, I'm not struggling. I'm not
13:01
sweating, I'm not pushing, I'm no longer coercing
13:05
or trying to do anything. Anymore.
13:08
I am going back to
13:11
being straight up ash in
13:14
my creativity, in my essence, and allowing
13:16
that to be the driver
13:18
of my business. And that's like a very
13:20
radical thing to say. Like, really,
13:22
we've got like Kim Kardashian, what a year ago
13:24
was like, what? What was that interview that
13:26
got. Like so much pushback and like
13:29
ridicule where she was like, work hard,
13:31
tell them to get off their asses and work hard or
13:33
whatever. And it, everyone was like flipping out.
13:36
I mean, I, there's so many to unpack,
13:38
so much to unpack in that too, cuz it's like,
13:40
yeah, there's a lot of people who don't want to
13:43
sacrifice the things that are necessary
13:45
in order to receive something, but at the same time,
13:47
there's a lot of people who are working very, very hard and not
13:49
receiving what they want and what they deserve. So
13:51
it's not really about effort, it is about
13:54
aligned action to. As
13:57
I said, I come from women who have worked
13:59
really hard, who found a way. My
14:01
fiance gave me like the worst
14:03
compliment ever once
14:06
where he was like, you always work hard,
14:08
you never give up. And I was like, oh
14:10
my God, bro, but I want to stop
14:12
working hard. Like I don't want to keep going.
14:15
but it's true, like sometimes we are celebrating
14:18
our resiliency and,
14:21
we're celebrating, stuff that depletes us. We're celebrating
14:23
stuff that actually isn't good for us.
14:25
In fact, I wish I would've came to this conclusion
14:27
in my life and in my business three years
14:29
ago, you know, that I could do less
14:32
in a more inspired, authentic, loving,
14:34
easeful way, and I would receive everything
14:36
that I want still, you know, as
14:39
opposed to having to deplete myself
14:41
again, having adrenal
14:43
fatigue, feeling uninspired,
14:46
like we can cut that. Cycle.
14:49
Right, and that is an inherited cycle, by
14:51
the way. That is an ancestral cycle of survival
14:54
of wounds, right, of if
14:56
I work hard, then I get to receive. I get to
14:58
receive no matter what I do, how I
15:00
do it, and the energy that I do it in, and
15:02
the energy that I am cultivating in myself
15:05
is what allows me to be more magnetic and
15:07
more aligned and more prosperous, and more
15:09
abundant and more attractive to
15:11
any and everything that I want. Whether that is money.
15:14
A particular relationship, an opportunity,
15:16
new friends, whatever it
15:18
might be. Right? Even your
15:20
body. I think there was a science scientific
15:23
experiment that showed like, The
15:25
energy of positivity helped people like
15:27
burn more calories and get aligned to
15:29
their weight loss goals faster, as opposed
15:31
to like being negative and beating yourself up
15:34
and like feeling like you have to keep running
15:36
on the treadmill and you have to do all the things.
15:38
You could be doing all the things, but if
15:40
your mind, body, energy spirit connection
15:42
isn't there, the body won't let go. Right?
15:45
The body also won't receive, so
15:47
yeah. It's a big, bold statement, but
15:49
I absolutely mean it and I'm glad that
15:51
I'm saying it because I wanna give you permission to explore
15:54
if this is a shift that you also
15:57
need to actually be making, not
15:59
just liking the posts on social
16:01
media. Again, I'm not trying to shit on us
16:03
or you know, not social media, but I do
16:05
feel like we are consuming so much information
16:08
in quotes and ideas, but are
16:10
struggling to step into
16:12
it, apply it, or embody it in our real lives,
16:15
which is what I'm here for. So
16:18
hard work has gotten me very, very, very far
16:20
in my past. It's gotten me to where I am today,
16:24
arguably, but truthfully. but
16:26
it is not what's going to get me to my next
16:28
level in life. It's not gonna get me to the lifestyle
16:30
that I am now creating. the next
16:33
challenge, if you will, of how I want to exist
16:35
in this world. It just isn't, it isn't about the effort,
16:38
but I do believe the beginning of our. Do
16:40
require something like that. Like in order
16:43
to break through those spells and those patterns
16:45
of, a stagnation, you have to
16:47
apply some effort, but then
16:49
as soon as you do apply effort and you understand
16:52
what you're capable of, we need to move into the
16:54
trusting and the allowing
16:56
and the beingness. So
17:00
what is gonna get me to my next level alignment?
17:03
Being open, staying. Never
17:07
leaving myself emphasis on that last
17:09
one because if there's anything I have learned
17:11
about myself in this
17:13
journey, and I'm talking about like right now,
17:15
relearning again, deepening, and the understanding
17:18
and the wisdom here is that, I
17:20
used to leave myself abandon myself
17:23
every time when it came to
17:25
money. And it didn't look
17:27
like it externally. Like my energetic
17:29
vibration is very wealthy. People
17:31
meet me and already think I'm a multimillionaire.
17:33
I'm not yet, right? or when
17:36
I'm out around men or they're attracted
17:38
to me, they would always be like, oh man, she's different.
17:40
She's like high end. She's gonna be a tough one. She's
17:42
high maintenance, or whatever it might be. However,
17:45
internally I would
17:47
feel empty de. Scarce,
17:51
like nervous. Like if I don't show
17:53
up a certain way, I will not receive
17:55
the money. If I don't stay on top of myself,
17:57
that man is going to take advantage of me, right?
17:59
And we'll get into relationships and men
18:01
and healing ancestral patterns
18:03
around the masculine and men on another episode.
18:07
But it was always this like abandonment of
18:09
myself, abandonment of my heart, abandonment
18:11
of my trust, abandonment of my actual desires
18:13
relating to money. just. Leaving
18:16
myself like, let me give you an example.
18:19
I remember sitting down
18:22
doing some work one night and
18:24
I needed to stop. Like it was time for me to
18:26
hydrate. It was time for me to eat. It
18:28
was time for me to stretch my body. It was time for me to go
18:30
out on a walk, sh let go of the work
18:32
for the day and come back to myself
18:35
and be with me, and that was not happening.
18:37
My mind kept saying like, screaming.
18:41
Stop working. Stop doing.
18:43
Like, come back to me. Come
18:45
back to your body. Come back to this moment.
18:48
And I just couldn't do it. I just couldn't.
18:50
I was just like, wait five more minutes. Like five more minutes.
18:52
I had given all my energy and all my time
18:55
to the work, to
18:57
the business at the time and didn't see it. And I'm
18:59
like, bitch, you have to go to the bathroom. Like you have
19:01
to pee. Like you need to feed
19:04
yourself. You need to take care of yourself.
19:06
And here you are trying to squeeze another 32
19:08
minutes of. Right. And next thing you know, it
19:10
goes an hour. So I have completely
19:12
depleted myself, walked away
19:14
from myself, not cared about myself
19:17
in the name of work, in the name
19:19
of business of money, receiving
19:21
money, and I just don't do
19:23
that anymore. You know, and this,
19:26
again, from like a behavioral perspective,
19:28
you can say, set a timer, take a break.
19:31
Set your day up for blocks and make sure
19:33
you block in for lunch. Like all of those tactical,
19:35
tangible behavior change habit
19:37
trackers, that's cool and it'll help you
19:40
become aware of your habits. But
19:42
if your wound, if your deep ancestral
19:45
programming, if your deepest belief
19:47
system in your own life and in your
19:49
whole lineage is that you
19:51
will only receive money by being present
19:53
and hardworking in your work. Changes
19:57
are only surface level because energetically
20:00
and embedded in your whole being is
20:02
that you are not gonna be wealthy without effort.
20:05
So we have to go and heal and transform that
20:07
energetic and that belief in order to
20:09
change your relationship to work, in order to change your
20:11
relationship to money. So some of
20:13
these money mindset programs and things
20:15
like that, Our money mindset
20:17
gurus, and I'm not gonna knock them, they're helping
20:19
you affirm what you want with money, but
20:22
they're not usually looking at all the different
20:24
ways you can receive money or changing your relationship
20:26
with the work so that you can receive money in
20:28
any way. Right? You're like just focused on
20:30
the money, but there's a whole relationship of
20:32
working and money that we have in this,
20:34
in our Western society, especially in this country,
20:36
in the United States. So, This
20:40
is what I'm teaching and guiding the women inside
20:42
of Elevate Mastermind. It's my six
20:44
slash nine month. You have an option, um,
20:47
mastermind that I hold every single year,
20:49
and it's really amazing to see how your
20:52
desires money, for
20:54
example, are so interconnected
20:56
to other, and embedded to other survival
20:58
mechanisms, things that you didn't even imagine.
21:01
Like, do I even believe I can hold on
21:03
to money and hold money? What does it mean to be the first
21:05
woman in my family who is a millionaire, you know,
21:07
in a long ass. but
21:09
this is also what I'm teaching inside
21:11
of the old money course. So
21:14
a lot of you have asked me over the years
21:16
if I would ever teach about money, if I would ever
21:18
teach about currency, abundance
21:20
and building generational wealth. And I was like,
21:22
eh, I don't know. Like it's always.
21:25
A component of the work that we do when I do
21:27
ancestral healing work. And when you're working
21:29
on creating the life that you want, we always talk about money
21:31
and scarcity and looking at your relationship
21:34
and patterns to those things. So I didn't ever think
21:36
about having a separate course
21:38
for it, like a, you know, a specific, a la
21:40
carte, but it just feels right now
21:42
to have it. So I'm calling it the old money course.
21:45
And it's such a good name, right? Because we're literally
21:48
talking about your old money
21:50
patterns, not just your own, but those
21:52
that you've inherited from your family. We're
21:54
looking at how you can create old
21:56
money. Money that lasts long money
21:59
that is abundant, that's staying around
22:01
you, that is sticking to your
22:03
life, your business, that you can invest and
22:05
do things with and feel proud of, and have
22:07
a loving, present relationship with instead
22:09
of a fearful. and I think it's gonna
22:11
be a really amazing course. If you're interested
22:13
in that, definitely click the link in the show
22:16
notes and get on the wait list. Um, let
22:18
me know you're interested in it, and you'll be the first to be notified.
22:21
And if you're ready to explore right
22:23
now, I highly recommend
22:25
signing up for. The money
22:27
audit. So the money audit
22:29
is only 27 bucks, but it's a
22:31
beautiful guided masterclass where I
22:33
take you through looking at your current
22:35
relationship to money
22:38
and working and start to shift
22:40
that, or at least bring your awareness to
22:42
your relationship to money and working.
22:45
So it's called the money audit. The link is in
22:47
the show notes, and I highly recommend
22:49
you signing up for it. We've already had about
22:52
40 people go through it, and I just released
22:54
it last month. Um, so I think it's gonna
22:56
be a really fun one for you to explore. Okay,
23:00
so what I most desire
23:02
as it relates to work in money, right?
23:04
Especially if you are at the beginning of your
23:06
healing, growth, woman empowerment,
23:09
whole life transformation journey, or
23:11
you're just deepening in it. It never stops.
23:13
Right? we desire to
23:16
have that fine balance between
23:18
effort and allowing. That's
23:20
literally it. I'm not saying
23:22
that we wanna do nothing and receive all the
23:24
money in the world. Like I think a lot of us would get bored
23:27
with that. I think a lot of us enjoy working
23:29
because we enjoy creating, we enjoy, it's
23:31
part of our personality, it's part of our identity,
23:33
right? But the way that we've been
23:35
taught to work, to receive money and
23:37
the way that we've been shown to effort and
23:40
deplete and struggle and strain.
23:42
Have these hard and high expectations. It's
23:45
not serving us, it's actually hurting us in
23:47
general, but especially as women,
23:49
it's just not that beautiful, illustrious,
23:52
passionate, fun yumminess
23:54
where when you receive the money on top of
23:57
creating in that energy, it feels so good. And
24:00
one of my favorite examples of this
24:02
is um, I remember I was doing a relaunch
24:04
of Finding Your Freedom, which is one of my signature
24:06
program. And I just didn't wanna launch
24:08
it and offer it the way that I did before,
24:11
like in the past. And I was like, gosh, like I just
24:13
feel really bored. And I was like, but I also
24:15
need the money and I also wanna see this program
24:17
get to more people. Cause I think at that time
24:19
we'd run it three times and we were moving on
24:21
the fourth time, fourth or fifth time running the program.
24:24
And I was like, okay, like. What's
24:27
the creative, fun way that I could
24:29
like create this launch? Right.
24:31
And I, at the time, I think I only had like one or
24:33
two, team members. One was a VA
24:35
assistant and one was a social media production, manager,
24:37
creator, person. And so,
24:39
um, I had heard about like private podcasts
24:42
and I was like, oh, that might, that might be fun. Like
24:44
what if I taught everything that's in
24:46
the course in this private
24:48
podcast and kind of guided people through
24:50
what it's like to be in the course. Like, I don't
24:52
know. That feels exciting. Like, it feels like
24:55
an intimate, cozy
24:58
sister girl chat, training,
25:00
teaching. Right. And it didn't
25:02
feel like work. Like I created this private
25:04
podcast at about a week's time.
25:07
Launched it with a couple of social media posts,
25:10
let the private podcast run for
25:12
another five days and brought in like $25,000.
25:15
You know, like it wasn't about
25:18
this effort and this pushing to produce,
25:20
it was, wow, I've never done this before.
25:22
I, I'm intrigued by it. It's a creative
25:25
process. I had to like, go to YouTube
25:27
University and learn how to edit a podcast
25:29
and like, what's the, um, software
25:31
I could do. Like I did it all free. I found like one of those
25:34
Free music license things
25:36
and like signed up and it was really fun. It was just
25:38
like a fun experience and I truly believe that it
25:40
was through that aligned, inspirational energy
25:43
of creating that offering and creating the
25:45
portal in which the money could come through. But
25:47
it was the energy of how I created that portal,
25:49
right? Like the private podcast. Energy,
25:51
my enthusiasm for it, my excitement
25:53
for it, that allowed people to be attracted
25:56
to this offer that allowed it to penetrate
25:58
through the noise and bring in that money in
26:00
such a quick amount of time. Right? It never
26:02
felt like effort. It never felt like pushing.
26:04
And so this whole thing of
26:06
like, I need to make
26:09
the money in order to have the spaciousness
26:11
or I need to, um, figure
26:14
out how to make money in a way that I love, we.
26:17
Look at our relationship to work in order
26:19
to really get into this and
26:21
our relationship to work is way deeper
26:24
than just a, a career
26:26
or a degree, or, you
26:28
know, what we see or what we believed is from
26:30
our roots. It truly is. Um,
26:32
and it's one of the hardest things that I've ever had to do because
26:34
again, I used to have a lot of pride in working
26:37
hard and receiving a lots of money, and
26:39
now I have a lot of joy in
26:41
working. Beautiful,
26:44
inspiring, joyful,
26:46
you know, explorational, explorational,
26:49
I'm making up words now. That's how good I feel anyway.
26:54
I trust money to come. It always
26:56
does. I believe that I can
26:58
beat myself and share my wisdom,
27:00
and it attracts the opportunities that I desire
27:02
and that I am aligned for because
27:04
I'm in alignment the way that I'm creating
27:07
everywhere I go, everything I do. Portal
27:10
and an opportunity to receive money. It's
27:12
a bat signal to money to come my
27:14
way in the ways that it's rightful for me
27:16
and the people that I'm called to serve and inspire
27:19
and support. I ask for
27:21
what I desire and I feel
27:23
that I deserve like that.
27:25
Alone is a big
27:27
deal. I'm not asking for,
27:30
and this is a tip for you. A lot of
27:32
us are just asking for money just for the sake
27:34
of like to pay a bill
27:36
or to pay an. Or
27:38
asking for large sons of money because it would make us
27:40
feel safe. But when we get down into
27:42
healing our relationship with money and
27:44
work, but healing our relationship with money is
27:46
so much more than that. Like we need to be clear
27:48
about how much money we want and need and for
27:50
what reasons. And it can be beyond
27:53
just paying for an expense. It could be beyond
27:55
just, I won't have to worry, like
27:57
I want money in my life at all times because it's a
27:59
blessing to me. It's a blessing to people who are around. It
28:02
provides for a lifestyle that is regenerative
28:04
and abundant and overflowing, and that means that I'm
28:06
free to move around and share my goodness
28:09
without restriction. Like that feeling
28:11
is completely different too. I no longer
28:13
have to worry about my bills, you know what I mean? Like
28:16
when we go through the money audit, it's helping
28:18
you to really reframe and get into
28:20
the energetics of what you desire in your relationship
28:23
to resource and provision. so
28:26
yeah, asking for what you, desire and what you
28:28
feel you deserve. That alone,
28:30
like it, it'll kick up all your stuff, like worthiness.
28:33
Things like, what do I deserve? I
28:35
know I deserve to be able to be my full,
28:37
authentic, generous, blissful
28:39
self without ever having to worry. That's
28:42
what I believe, and that's what I know I deserve, and I want
28:44
you to have the same thing. And
28:46
I manage my energy accordingly
28:48
around what I am cultivating
28:51
in my life financially and experientially,
28:54
right? I'm not looking to have all these energy
28:56
leaks that are the antithesis,
28:59
right, or sabotage what I'm actually
29:01
cultivating in my life around money
29:03
and freedom. That's
29:06
another gem. Anything.
29:09
Anything I touch turns to gold. This is one of my favorite
29:12
affirmations that I'm giving that to you, and it's a
29:14
very personal one. I even
29:16
had a vision board, like I wanna say like four years
29:18
ago, that had this woman like touching something
29:20
and it was turning to gold. It's one of my favorite
29:23
sayings, I think about the
29:25
ease of being in creative
29:27
energy so that it creates
29:31
beauty anywhere
29:33
I go, anything that I do makes that
29:35
experience that much more beautiful. I
29:38
mean, that's a recipe for abundance. If you ask
29:40
me and you can't ask me,
29:44
here are some things that I no longer do as it relates
29:47
to my relationship to money. I
29:49
don't need to demand it. I do not beg for
29:51
it. I don't demand it. I don't chase
29:54
unpaid payments. Some of you who are listening to
29:56
this podcast, I'm calling you out
29:58
with Love Owe money to me. But if you
30:00
notice, I have not asked for it because
30:03
I trust that it's coming when it's gonna come, whether it's from
30:05
you or from somewhere else. That's just how it is.
30:08
I, I've noticed a lot of people, particularly
30:10
in the self-help and development, industries
30:12
are like, you signed a contract and like da,
30:14
da, da da, da, and they're like chasing people down.
30:17
And I was like, you know what? It's super shitty when people
30:19
do not keep a. And
30:22
they don't address it. But
30:24
I would rather you, and this is just
30:26
spiritual hygiene, and for my own piece,
30:28
I'd rather you deal with your deficit
30:31
of not paying something and not keeping your word
30:33
and how that's cycling through your
30:35
life over and over and over again. And I release
30:37
attachment, so that is no longer my energetic
30:39
vibration. Can you imagine what would happen
30:42
if I believed that every. Coming
30:45
to my business with lapses on a payment or
30:47
wouldn't pay me. And I was just working like, that
30:49
is like a cancer. It is. It
30:51
is a cancer. It is, um, something that
30:53
will eat up all of your abundance if you're in that
30:55
fear and then you'll keep attracting people who
30:57
do that. So, and this
30:59
is not to shame anyone cuz you know, again, we've all had
31:01
moments where we couldn't afford something, but we really wanted
31:03
to work with someone and or hard times
31:05
have come or like lost our jobs or I don't
31:07
know, global pandemic happens. Global
31:10
pandemic, right? But. Being
31:13
able to address your debts
31:15
and be honest about where you are and know that
31:17
you've never forgotten about it, is
31:20
a very powerful thing. Whether you pay it
31:22
five days later, five weeks later, five
31:24
months or five years, who cares, right? But
31:27
owning it is very important. And as a provider
31:29
and a healer, and a space holder, and a guide, and an
31:31
inspirational muse, when that happens,
31:33
I'm just like, all right, something. It'll
31:37
come to me, whatever way it needs to and let go of
31:39
it and move on. So permission to do that. Cause
31:41
I know sometimes that when you're an entrepreneur
31:44
or you're a business owner, or even when you loan
31:46
money or something to friends and when they don't pay you back,
31:48
it doesn't feel good, you know, and you start to question yourself
31:50
and your abundance around that. Um,
31:53
I always believe that there's more where that came from
31:55
or where it didn't come from. Right. There's always,
31:57
my money does not come and neither does yours
32:00
come through. Only one avenue or
32:02
one. I'll
32:04
do an episode on that. That's a really good one. Okay.
32:07
I treat my money with respect and appreciation
32:09
and trust, but I do not white
32:12
knuckle it. Oh my goodness. I,
32:14
I can tell you the number of my clients who have been like,
32:16
I was so afraid to pay you, and then
32:18
I realize I really did wanna pay you and I enjoyed
32:20
paying you, which is one of my favorite mantras,
32:22
that everyone who pays me enjoys to pay me and enjoys
32:25
working with me. but they. That
32:28
experience of knowing that I deeply
32:30
wanted to work with you and that it would feel great
32:32
to pay you, but still being afraid to
32:34
do it was an opportunity
32:37
to open up and look at what my real relationship
32:39
to money is like. I didn't realize
32:41
that Ash, and again, that ends up being like a
32:44
launching point of our intimate work
32:46
together, that in whatever else they came into
32:48
the container for. Look
32:51
at how your relationship to money already
32:53
is. Are you like hesitating, even though
32:55
you have the money to pay for something, are
32:57
you looking at what you will not have
33:00
if you spend money on something or invest in yourself
33:02
in a certain way instead of looking at what you're gonna gain,
33:05
that's gonna let you know about your consciousness and the energetic
33:07
vibration of your relationship with money
33:09
right off the bat? Right? So
33:11
while I don't white knuckle it, I also don't just
33:13
go around spending it in ways that tells
33:15
money that I take it for granted. Like I deeply
33:18
appreciate money. I'm like, Ugh, I'm
33:20
so glad that you're here again. Like, how would you
33:22
like for me to spend you? I actually have conversations with my
33:24
money like that. Like how would you like to be spent? How
33:26
would you like to circulate in my life and in the
33:28
lives of people who are connected to me by
33:30
way of their services, their. You
33:32
know, and I let money talk back to me
33:34
and tell me, and I tell money what I think I want
33:36
for it, and I show money the buckets that I want it
33:38
to go into my life and savings and taxes
33:40
and so on and so forth. So it's actually
33:43
quite fun in my opinion. so
33:45
here are three things I want you to know as we
33:47
get ready to wrap up this episode. There
33:49
are three reasons why your
33:51
money situation isn't what you desire
33:53
it to. And of course there's many
33:56
hundreds, millions of different narratives,
33:58
but it always comes down to these three
34:01
things in my opinion. One is
34:03
you're not aligned or expressed
34:06
in your power, in your purpose, and in
34:08
your calling. So you're not doing your soul
34:10
aligned work. You don't really love what you're
34:12
doing for a living. It's not aligned with your energetic
34:14
blueprint and who you're truly called to be,
34:17
and that will create a clog
34:19
in you receiving money abundantly
34:21
and easily. Arguably
34:24
we could say you're disconnected with who you truly
34:26
are, because I truly believe when we're our, authentic
34:28
selves, we do
34:31
things that are authentic and align with us
34:33
as an occupation, and therefore
34:35
money flows to us very easily. So
34:37
look at that. Number two, you're
34:39
allowing your childhood ancestral
34:42
and cultural. And
34:44
programs to dictate how, when
34:46
and what you receive as it relates
34:48
to money. So this is those
34:50
things that's like, oh, my mom always
34:52
said that money is the root of all evil.
34:55
Or I realize everybody in my culture,
34:57
my race, if we're black, you know, we always
34:59
struggle with money or we don't know money or,
35:02
a woman can't be trusted with money.
35:04
cuz my dad or my boyfriend or my husband
35:06
or my brothers or whoever always
35:08
had it and. Whatever
35:11
it might be. Oh, I'm young and now, so if I have a lot of
35:13
money, I'll squander it away
35:15
and just blow it. Oh, I'm old,
35:17
and so I don't have a lot of time to get money. Like whatever
35:19
these stories are, they
35:22
are. What's stopping you from attracting and receiving
35:24
money? The
35:26
third thing is you're completely disconnected
35:28
from the true essence and energy of money
35:30
and need to rekindle a sacred relationship
35:32
with it. You just don't even
35:35
intimately know what money is.
35:37
Sure. We've had it in our wallet. Sure.
35:39
We've had it in our debit cards, our credit cards,
35:41
but you haven't actually connected to the energetics
35:43
of money and understand how it talks, how it moves,
35:46
how it likes to be appreciated, like it is an entity.
35:49
Just like when you go to a home and you're looking
35:51
for an apartment and you're feeling into the
35:53
energy of the home, not just how it looks,
35:55
not just the location, not just the price point,
35:57
but you're looking. energetically?
35:59
Am I aligned with this place? Is it a place
36:01
that wants to hold me? Do I see myself
36:04
growing and evolving in this place? This
36:06
is it, or it is not it. Same
36:08
way you go through that experience is similarly
36:11
to money. What would it feel like to get
36:13
that raise? Like what does money
36:15
feel like to me? How does money
36:17
want to feel? Like to me, how does money talk to me?
36:20
Like getting intimate with the
36:22
energetics of money and for what
36:24
it is itself is huge. I'll
36:27
tell you guys this. When I was moving from
36:29
the states to Southeast Asia,
36:31
I had to attune to the energetics of the money,
36:34
not just that $1 was
36:36
a million ria. Is
36:39
that how it was? I think it was, I think it was
36:42
one US dollar was a million rubia anyway.
36:44
it wasn't just the conversions. Like most
36:46
times we just focus on that, what is the actual
36:49
monetary currency conversion? And let
36:51
me do the math really quickly to understand how to use
36:53
this money. But we never feel into the energetics
36:56
of how this money wants to be expressed. Is
36:58
it happy, is it sad? Is it oppressed? Is it
37:00
like, What is the energetics of the money? I know
37:02
it sounds weird in hello woo woo, but if you
37:04
sit down and hold a dollar in your hand,
37:07
or a 50 bucks in your hand, or a hundred dollars bill
37:09
in your hand, or even just look at your bank
37:11
account and what you have in there and tune
37:13
into the energetics of that money, you
37:15
will receive a lot of information.
37:17
Trust me. Oftentimes
37:20
it's all three of these. You're disconnected
37:22
to what you're really called to do and who you truly are.
37:24
You've got a whole bunch of ancestral family,
37:26
cultural wounds, baggage beliefs,
37:28
limiting things running around, and
37:31
you're disconnected to money. So those are the three
37:33
areas of exploration, healing,
37:35
overcoming growth, deciding
37:38
what is gonna be true for you
37:40
in those areas that will transform your relationship
37:43
to and with. Okay,
37:46
this feels good for now.
37:49
I know that we're moving further into,
37:52
this recession and
37:54
I think that's a reason why I feel called
37:56
to talk about money, teach about money, share
37:58
stories about money. cuz everyone
38:00
seems to be on this weird pause, but
38:04
I want to leave you with this thought. Those
38:07
who receive the most in changing.
38:10
Like massive moments of change
38:13
as we're in again right now are
38:15
always those who are willing to face
38:17
and transmute their greatest fears
38:20
into opportunities and into
38:22
opportunities that they desire and they deserve.
38:25
Let me say that again. The people who
38:27
receive the most, who grow, who
38:29
gain, who expand, who bust
38:32
through barriers and create new things and become
38:34
very abundant during changing
38:36
times, are the people who.
38:39
Willing to face and transmute their
38:42
greatest fears into opportunities.
38:45
So I wanna leave you with
38:48
that. If you are feeling restricted
38:51
and tight and fearful
38:53
about your money or about what's happening in the world,
38:56
even if you don't wanna admit it, even if it's like a subtle
38:58
frequency. Face that deal
39:00
with it. Climb on in if you
39:02
wanna explore that. The money audit is
39:05
in the show notes. I would
39:07
love to have you go through this. It's about. I
39:09
think it's 60 minutes of me guiding
39:11
you through the audit process. It's
39:13
a very powerful, and so far
39:16
everyone who's gone through it has reported back that it's been life
39:18
changing for them. So go ahead and sign
39:20
up for that. I'd love to have you inside. In
39:22
the meantime, have a fantastic
39:24
day, wherever you are. I'm so
39:26
glad that you tune into this episode. It's
39:28
still happening. Whether you are listening to
39:30
the podcast or watching me on the
39:32
YouTubes, lots of love to you.
