Hello! My name is Ken. As a fellow podcaster, I know how important reviews can be to creators like us. That’s why, in the spirit of the season, I’ve decided to give your podcast 5 stars. If you’re also feeling in a giving mood, feel free to review mine as well! It’s called PRRP, which stands for Podcast Reviews Reviews Podcast. Jar of Rebuke is a very intriguing series. I generally like the style of tale where someone records deep thoughts while something mysterious looms, but until now I've only seen it in the sci-fi genres. It's interesting to hear one that's more in the horror-fantasy realm, especially since its setting is so close to home. I've really been enjoying Jar of Rebuke, and I can't wait for the next episode (which I believe is tomorrow, so I don't have long to wait)!
Not only Jar of Rebuke's narrative is captivating and Dr.Jared Hel relatable but the way it brings up these legends is compelling, a perfect mix of horror and Hel's humor. Besides the well-told legends, "The Enclosure"'s secrets are something one wants to dive into.
Excellent narrative podcast, with plenty of intrigue, heart, and the right amount of humor. Keeps me hooked and eagerly anticipating the next episode!
Dr Jared Hel's audio journal is phenomenal! I love the Spooky Farm town vibes, but also the supernatural elements feel really realistic. Many lines made me smile while reading- trust me- this is a story you'll want to keep up with!
Jared is a fun and relatable character, the storytelling is pretty good and has a good slow burn to it. I'm also convince the midwest ain't sh*t. I always assume the midwest is this baron wasteland full of 7/11 or Sheets, where kids name Tyler or Jonesy hope they're mediocre alt rock band can hop on warp tour, but apparently yall got ghost kids and hell hounds too. I mean ghost kids and hell hound are cool, would so go to the midwest and see them, but then I gotta deal with dude's doing punk pop covers of country songs. But really though, fun podcast, real happy I came across this. What I love about the show is, everything is a mystery, from the character or Jared and he company they work for The Enclosure. The podcast just started but I already i can tell it's a show where you really need to pay attention to. Each episodes adds more layers to the mystery of the story, doesn't answer the question, they're small hints but you can tell it's important. Looking forward to the the future!
Do you like horror? Do you like lgbt+ inclusion? Well this podcast is definitely for you! Follow along with this narrative podcast to get a very spooky experience. The narrators of this podcast do a fantastic job delivering the goods.
If you’re looking for a lovable protagonist in a spooky setting, this show is legit the place. to. be. The show is about Dr. Jared Hel, a potentially immortal, amnesiac doctor who works at a facility called The Enclosure in a small midwestern town. Jared is lovable, charismatic, self-effacing, smart, and constantly in and out of unsettling, endlessly-intriguing setups as he searches for answers about his past, and the town. I fell in love almost instantly. The series draws on actual midwestern lore to create a really visceral sense of the town--we’re big fans of the Snipe Hunt episode, which brings us in on local traditions in a way that really establishes the central juxtaposition of these really genuinely unsettling creatures and entities in this town and the almost-aggressive polite energy of small midwestern America--an introvert’s true worst nightmare. (Look, I instantly imprint on any character who feels awkward at a party, I can't help it.) Part Twin Peaks, part Pushing Daisies, part early-Sleepy Hollow (the tv show), and all heart.
If horror is your thing, and you love queer characters (and creators!) mixed with the supernatural, millennial humour and a perfect SCP inspiration, this show IS YOUR THING. Four episodes out and I'm already here for life. And instant fav.
Jar of RebukeThank you so much for the love and support! We're so glad you've enjoyed it so far and hope you continue to join us on the wild ride of Jared's self-discovery.
I opened two jars of rebuke it was so awesome!
