Welcome to our Third Episode! This week's guests are sax player/keyboardist Gary Meek, drummer Sinclair Lott, and keyboardist Carey Frank!

We talk a lot about teaching in this episode and get some great insights into music from our three guests.

Gary Meek has played with Dionne Warwick, Brazilian jazz artists Airto Moreira and Flora Purim, Jose Neto, Herb Alpert, and Al Jarreau.

Sinclair Lott is drummer in Los Angeles. Some of the musicians he has worked with include Freddie Hubbard, Frank Zappa, Tigran Hamasyan, Dianne Reeves, Mose Allison, Vanessa Williams, Big Joe Turner,Billy Childs, Tierney Sutton, Otis Rush,Eric Gale, and Mike Miller.

Carey Frank is a keyboardist in Los Angeles, CA. He has worked with the likes of Tedeschi Trucks Band, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Hot Tuna, The Wood Brothers, Marty Morell, Ndugu Chancler, Marshall Tucker Band, Eric Marienthal, Jane Monheit, Munyungo Jackson, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Larry Goldings, Lenny Picket, T Lavitz, Martin Short, Dan Aykroyd, Josh Smith, Eric Gales, Drake Bell, and Bob Mintzer.

Gary Meek – Sax, Keyboards

Performed with: Socially Distant Show 1/14/21, Socially Distant Show #7 2/18/21, Jazz Round Table #3 4/6/21, Jazz Round Table #8 6/15/21Bio – Gary Meek began his career in the early 1980s playing woodwinds in the big bands of the Los Angeles Jazz Workshop, and keyboards and woodwinds for local club dates, weddings and private parties. In the mid-’80s he toured with Dionne Warwick, playing keyboards.In 1987, Meek began a two-decade association with Brazilian jazz artists Airto Moreira and Flora Purim. In 1990, joined by Jose Neto, they formed Fourth World. This band toured the U.S., Europe, Asia, South Africa and Eastern Europe for five years, releasing a live album in 1992, “Live at Ronnie Scott’s.” Three years later, Meek joined Herb Alpert’s world tour in support of Alpert’s “Second Wind” album.
