Today we had the special privilege of having one of my favorite people as our guest! Parham Nematollah is a mental health guru and has worked in the field of addiction for over ten years, mostly as a counselor. He was the therapist that helped Jesse when he was recovering from drug addiction, and they stayed friends since then. You can follow Parham on Instagram @the1minutetherapist where he gives little gold nuggets of wisdom in the form of digestible minute-long videos.

This was most definitely one of our most special episodes as we covered so many topics. Some of these included: how healers have to be like surgeons, "We need to save people without the judgement." We also spoke about letting go of attachments and "the real modern-day disease" ~ Expectations as being "the root of all heart break".

We asked Parham about what the most beautiful and important things he has learned about human psychology are. "Everyone just wants to be loved, cared for, understood etc). We also spoke about "the vicious cycle," that Parham has seen with his thousands of past counseling clients. Along with that, we also spoke about the concept of "failure to launch" which is becoming so prominent in the Western world today. This refers to young adults who are having trouble becoming self-sufficient and taking on adult responsibilities.

We honestly covered so much in this episode and we both walked away from it with such a overwhelming feeling of LIGHT within us. It was a similar feeling experienced after speaking to the great holy woman/Hindi-Goddess Vanuja Amma in our 9th episode.

Please let us know what you think about this and feel free to leave a comment to add to the ongoing mental health discussion, or give your perspective!!

Also shoot Jesse or Tre a DM on Instagram @jesseinisanastro and @elven.star_ if you would like to have us give you real life advice (anonymously of course) for a situation you are going through, or if you have any question (related to anything!!!) that you would like us to answer on air!!! Please feel free to reach out! We want to get our listeners involved and help you along the way!

Enjoy!
