JLL hosts a two-part solutions-based discussion on the viability crisis facing the London Housing industry with an experienced panel of guest speakers from both the private and public sector for a rounded view.
The conversation journeys through the stark reality of build cost inflation, shifts in the residential sales market, the increased cost of capital, approach to affordable housing, the role of infrastructure and taxes such as CIL and changes in regulation regarding both fire and ESG.
With construction starts down and planning applications falling, there is a responsibility to get talking about the issues and bring into focus where the solutions might lie as a collective effort. We hope to hear from listeners with their views and encourage further thought.
