Indie Film NYC was created by John Fallon, seasoned producer and indie filmmaker. Since 1999, John has been a freelance video editor in New York. He was one of the early adopters of Final Cut Pro and at the forefront of the new wave of low-budget “do it yourself” indie filmmaking. He helped filmmakers set up FCP systems that would give them a professional workflow that did not rely on costly proprietary systems. Through this work, John discovered that this more accessible and hands-on approach to filmmaking allowed artists to experiment in ways they couldn’t before.
