The James Webb Space Telescope was used to take a closer look at Trappist-1. A team of scientists lead by Ward Howard used the JWST to characterize the flares that come from the volatile star, and while doing so have created a new way to look at the exoplanets atmospheres that orbit flaring red dwarf stars.
