Hello, My name is John Schneider and I am the creator of the Food Afield Podcast.
Throughout my life, I have been a professional bowhunting and fly-fishing guide in Alberta and the Northwest Territories. More recently, I am an outdoor writer, photographer, and podcast host. I also appear regularly on the award-winning web series From The Wild. For more than thirty years I have been hunting and fishing and cooking wild food ingredients over open fires.
The Food Afield Podcast is a documentary-style, outdoor adventure show. Mostly, we record episodes in the field while we search for wild food ingredients on our various hunting and fishing expeditions across western Canada.
Each episode of the podcast is between thirty minutes and an hour, however, we try to stay around the half-hour mark. You can generally expect episodes to be released on a weekly basis, every Monday morning.
