I don't know if I have been more excited for an episode to air than I am about this one. And that says a lot because I've been pretty darn excited about many of our fabulous #TuesdayTalk guests! So I'm happy to share this conversation I had with Mindy Lawhorne. (say that last name 10 times fast) If you don't know of Mindy already, here's a little bit about this wonderful human being. You may recognize her from a Turbo Jam or PiYo video as she is an instructor along side Chalene Johnson. Mindy shares her story of growing up chubby and struggling with her weight and self image. She talks about the many trials she has face throughout her life and how those very things led to the many blessings in her life today. One of the things I love about Mindy is that she is just so real, relate-able, and funny! I know that by the end of this episode you'll just want to be her new bff. Mindy's message of Hope In Struggle is deeply powerful and encouraging which aligns perfectly with her upbeat, positive spirit. Find out what's up next with Mindy and the big F word that she's talking about. So, without further ado, on to today's #TuesdayTalk with Mindy Lawhorne.

#TuesdayTalk Take-Aways:

“Almost every conversation seems to be wrapped around something that holds us back.” --Mindy Lawhorne, on talking to the people she coaches

“Food, in general, we use it for the wrong purposes, it goes way past just fueling our bodies for nutrition. Those things that we're trying to mask within ourselves and our emotions are all just a God-sized hole.” --Mindy Lawhorne

“I pray each day that God will allow me to be aware and totally present with my hunger. Am I really hungry or am I just bored? Am I really hungry or am I just tired?” --Mindy Lawhorne, on how she seeks to overcome overeating and living a healthy lifestyle

“I'm not like anyone else and that's OK.” --Mindy Lawhorne

“I'm thankful that I struggled with my weight. I'm thankful that I grew up chubby, because if I hadn't and went through all that stuff I don't think I would appreciate so many of the things that God's allowed me to see differently now.” --Mindy Lawhorne, on finding hope in her struggles

“In the midst of feeling the worst, here's this man who didn't care about any of that.” --Mindy Lawhorne, about when she met her husband Lee Lawhorne

“There's an F word that stops us. There's an F word that paralyzes us, and it is probably the most talked about in the Bible, that F word is Fear.” --Mindy Lawhorne, on what you can expect next with Hope In Struggle

“The truth is you are loved. Now go do something about it.” --Mindy Lawhorne

“My definition of a joyful life is living a life where I don't only feel like I'm living my purpose and helping others, but having the ability to choose what I do when I do it and having the freedom to help others do that.” --Mindy Lawhorne

“Joy is a constant deep-rooted thing that you can call on at any moment, that no matter what is going on in your life you realize that you have joy. Joy is something that no one can take from you. It's dependent on what you believe and where your foundation is.” --Mindy Lawhorne

“Everything changes when our perspective changes.” --Mindy Lawhorne
