I stumbled onto “Junkfood Cinema” by hearing C. Robert Cargill and Brian Salisbury as guests on an episode of "TV Guidance Counselor" (also a great show) and thought “these guys are funny, and they really know their stuff.” By the end of the show, I was already subscribed to their podcast and going through their back catalog of episodes to dig through their covering of not always good, not always bad, but the fun, greasy, hi caloric films that we mindlessly consume and with good cause- they are FUN. Some of their obscure stuff…I can happily pat myself on the back and say “yeah…I’ve seen it/I own that” and then -out of nowhere, they will have a wildly interesting take on something I have seen multiple times and it makes me want to watch it again. They have consistently turned me on to “new” old films and have provided me with hours of entertainment and laughs…along the way introducing me to other fantastic shows like “The Movie Crypt.” If you even half-consider yourself a lover of cinema- this show is required listening. Keep up the fabulous work gentleman.
