Overview:
Justice and I talked the latest on the Planned Parenthood shooting in Colorado Springs as well as how people can get involved — and how not to help. I suggested several organizations, including The Clinic Vest Project where I am a founding board member, and reminded people not to just show up in front of a clinic to counter protest or escort without contacting the clinic.
I got a little choked up talking about what abortion providers go through. Dr. Willie Parker, one of the most public, vocal providers, is asking people not to be silent. It is the least we can do considering he and other providers risk arson, stalking, assault, and even death to make sure we have health care. Please read and post his op-ed and the interview with Dr. Chastine included below.
