This week I first touch briefly on real life events, because how could I not, then talk a bit about my reaction as a new listener to a Stephen King podcast (The Loser’s Club) and what happens when you have a negative reaction to someone’s negative reaction of something you really like. Then I dig into Episode 4 of The Stand, and how “shortcutting” is okay if it’s done well; how an actor’s performance can deepen and get better if they have a really good scene partner to bounce off on; and how emotional this adaptation is making me. Pour one out for Teddy Weizak, who never got to realize his dream of meeting Dwayne Johnson.
