I had a ball interviewing the legends of entertainment on July 11, 2023. These four guys came together back in September 2021 as the world was opening up to give us all a show in New Jersey. Now, they are giving us music with a positive, fun vibe. They are ready to come together to bring a fun new sound. Are you ready to know the Legends?Roger Ortega recently released his third full album "Midwest Charm" in October and he released the single and video for "New York Vibe" featuring Nitty Green of the group RIFF, singer, songwriter L*A*W who has toured w/ Amy Winehouse, & worked w/ Lionel Richie, Bruno Mars and many more, as well as producer Edson Sean. Roger Ortega is a Spotify verified R&B/Pop recording artist. His record sales, performances, and songwriting open the door for him to be a registered voting member of The National Recording Academy. As a recently accepted member,amongst other things, he can officially vote for The Grammys and has been invited to attend since 2018. Roger has opened for acts such as Color Me Badd, Otown, AaronCarter, Dj Pauly D and more. - L*A*W lives for entertainment and most fans know L*A*W as the singer/rapper/dancer/producer & multi-instrumentalist In Funk Legend George Clinton's 420 Funk Mob in the legendary P-Funk camp but millions have seen him on national television back at the 2007 MTV Movie Awards & David Letterman in his white kangol glory singing & dancing behind the late legendary British sensation Amy Winehouse as well as being her opening act for her sold-out shows in New York City with his own red-hot 7-piece musically diverse, high energy band, The Planet 12 Movement. After lending his many talents & over 40 licensed songs to various VH-1, NBA, TV-1, Oxygen, Bravo, A&E, Lifetime & popular MTV shows like "The Real World: Brooklyn & Hollywood", his Critically Acclaimed, 7-Time Grammy Nominated first album "Tha Planet 12 Syndrome" gaining acclaim from Lionel Richie, Diane Warren, EPMD, Ledisi, Rosanna Arquette, Ellen Barkin, Dru Hill, Chico Debarge, Megan Mullally (Will And Grace), Janelle Monae, Ice-T & The Late Teena Marie. L*A*W was #1 in the New & Now section of the Winter Edition of SESAC's Publishing magazine of 2013 & also co-wrote the theme song for the independent movie "We Are The Hartmans" as well as being featured in the movie as the bandleader. -Edson Sean is a singer, songwriter, emcee, & producer. Influenced by jazz, soul, and hip hop, he has combined live instrumentation with the rhythms of these genres overlaid with love-based lyrics. He has released several solo projects as well as created the collaborative super band, The Experi3ence. Edson produced all of Rogers' third studio album. -Michael Best, aka Nitty Green, is a member of the group RIFF, an R&B/Pop vocal group in Paterson, NJ. The group was formed while its members were teenagers attending Paterson's Eastside High School known for their scintillating and soul-stirring performance in the 1989 film, "Lean on Me", also known as the bathroom scene, the most popular scene in the movie. Michael Best, along with two of his fellow RIFF members, joined the group Men Of Vizion in the late 90's who also had 3 top 20 singles on the Billboard charts produced by Teddy Riley, Joe, Rodney & Fred Jerkins. Nitty released his solo single in April. These legends, aka "OGs" made and are still making a great impact in the entertainment industry, and they continue to show people that they still have what it takes to give the world great music.
