For episode of twelve of "Kidding" I had a fantastic conversation with the brilliant comedian, Shalaka Kurup.  Shalaka is an observational comedian who finds joy in living, laughing, and loving. She has graced stages across London, performing at renowned venues like Angel Comedy, Vauxhall Comedy Club, and the Comedy Store.

Shalaka's  has earned her several notable achievements, including being crowned Roast Battle UK Champion 23 and West End New Act of the Year 2023. She has also been recognized as a finalist in the 2Northdown New Act Competition 2022 and placed in the prestigious Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2023. 

In this episode, we explore the emerging science comedy scene and its unique appeal, as well as the experiences of being a female comedian in a traditionally male-dominated field.
