The saying, “You can pick your friends, but you can’t choose your family,” is put to a very dire test in this week’s episode of DISH BY DISH: A Hannibal Rewatch project. Gena & Patrick are pushed to the brink by an episode that tears apart the fabric of what it means to be a family, and they are left reeling as a result. Every question leads to a more depressing answer - and it’s so compelling that you simply can’t turn away! We do try to find moments of levity along the way as we discuss our reactions to Hannibal’s constant “mystery meat” offerings, consider dropping ’shrooms with a therapist, and debate what Dr. Lecter’s novelty t-shirt collection might contain. It’s either laugh or cry time, people.
