Photo Courtesy of Media Matters for AmericaOn today’s show, Media Matters for America‘s climate and energy senior researcher Evlondo Cooper is back to discuss more of his findings from the 2023 climate coverage by corporate media or lack thereof.A new analysis from Media Matters’ Climate and Energy Program found that coverage of environmental justice stories on morning and nightly news shows on ABC, CBS, and NBC suffered a decrease in the total number of segments in 2023, airing just 9 segments about environmental impacts, regulations, or health hazards that included a mention of a socially marginalized community.
