In 1993, the Atlanta Rap Team of DC Glenn aka DC The Brain Supreme, and Steve Rolln made rap history with the release of their classic hit single Whoomp There it is! The song was much bigger and more enduring than either man ever imagined it would be. It has achieved the kind of legendary status that aspiring musicians dream about, but only a handful ever achieve. The Iconic Hit, "Whoomp! There It Is" was much bigger than the group anticipated.  Due to Tag Team’s record label filing bankruptcy and a 15-year legal battle, it was difficult for their music catalog to get proper label promotion.  

The song’s success has led to a string of TV entertainment appearances, further delighting Tag Team and GEICO commercial fans alike. Tag Team appeared as guests on the “Tamron Hall Show” to discuss their Geico Song Commercial ad success and their years of perseverance and steadfastness in maintaining their relevance in pop culture. They also made a special guest appearance on the “Dan Patrick Show during Super Bowl Week.” Tag Team was selected as NASCAR Grand Marshals of the 2021 GEICO 500 at the Talladega Superspeedway in April. The NBA Western Conference Finals between the Phoenix Sun “Tag Team mesmerized 20K fans” and the First Pitch at White Sox game “also invited to throw out the first pitch during the American League Central Division.”
