As we peer into the past, do we like what we see? Does it represent the future we want? It's said that we're the sum of our five closest relationships. When we take a step back, are we happy with the equation's outcome?
Poetry is its own medicine, a blend of herbs and prose that helps give a glimpse into the patterns we've found ourselves in. Sometimes we may get stuck on a page in our book, re-reading the same line hoping it turns out differently. It never does. So here's to the turning the page, paddling out of that eddy, and allowing ourselves to grow with the sun. We can't change the past but we can allow ourselves to breathe fresh air into the next chapter of our lives.
Join Emma Renly, Samantha Metzner and Riley Lubich as they read and discuss poems from the latest collective work of anonymous poetry: Poems For Ex Lovers.
