Hello, Lakers nation. Welcome and to

0:32

Lakers nation live. I am Trevor

0:34

Lane and the Lakers just crushed

0:37

the Brooklyn Nets. Great to see

0:39

maybe a few nervous moments, a

0:41

little bit in the third quarter

0:43

there, but the Lakers crews wired

0:46

a wire victory over the Nets

0:48

and LeBron James. What

0:50

a game. LeBron James

0:53

went berserk 40 points

0:56

for LeBron. An unruly, unruly real

0:58

performance. Nine of 10. That's

1:00

90% people from

1:03

three LeBron James putting on a

1:05

show in Brooklyn. What a

1:08

game. We've got plenty to talk about

1:10

from this one. We've got Gabe Vincent's

1:12

return. We've got Jackson Hayes not in

1:14

the mix tonight due to injury. We've

1:16

got cam reddish. His minutes evaporated. What

1:18

does that tell us about the Gabe

1:20

Vincent roll? Lots of things to talk

1:22

about on this, on this show. So

1:24

welcome in guys. Thanks for joining me.

1:26

Whether you're coming in from YouTube, from

1:28

X from Facebook. Let's talk some Lakers

1:30

basketball and let's, let's start right here.

1:33

Let's start right here. Like this is easy.

1:35

Maybe the easiest one we've ever done. Superstar

1:39

of the night. It's

1:43

LeBron James. It's that easy.

1:46

LeBron James superstar

1:48

of the night. 13 of 17

1:50

shooting for the game. Nine

1:55

of 10 from three, five or six at

1:57

the free throw line. Seven boards. assists

2:02

for LeBron. Incredible.

2:04

40 points in

2:07

this one LeBron James. Absolutely

2:09

unstoppable. There were moments and I talked about

2:11

this before the game. Talked about this. How

2:13

could the Nets pose a problem for the

2:15

Lakers? You looked at them at the line.

2:18

The Lakers were a six and a half

2:20

point favorite. You go six and a half.

2:22

The Nets are not very good. Yeah, but

2:24

the problem is they can get hot and

2:26

they shoot a lot of threes so they

2:29

can become a problem for you on any

2:31

given night. Cam Thomas. He can go berserk.

2:33

In fact, that was my first note in

2:36

in things the Lakers needed to

2:38

pay attention to and worry about.

2:40

It was a random Cam Thomas

2:42

blow-up game and that's exactly what

2:45

happened. Fortunately it didn't matter because

2:47

LeBron James was just that good.

2:49

You look here. I talked

2:52

about it before the game. Cam Thomas, you didn't

2:54

want him to get going and

2:56

he certainly did finish with

2:58

30 points himself. Four of seven from

3:00

three looked like he was going to

3:02

pull them back into the game late,

3:04

especially in the third quarter. Just kept

3:06

hitting big shot after big shot after

3:08

big shot. But every time there was

3:10

LeBron right there to respond, uh,

3:13

hitting his own three, nine of

3:15

10 from deep again, LeBron James,

3:17

absolutely absurd in this one. This

3:19

is look, this

3:22

is one of those games where you've

3:24

got to look at LeBron and just say, enjoy

3:27

it, enjoy it while

3:29

you can because we know the man

3:31

is 39 years old. We see

3:34

that there's some nights where he doesn't have

3:36

it. There's some nights where he does. Boy

3:39

tonight, did he have it? The

3:41

shot was working and shoot a shooting better

3:43

than 40% from three. Now on the season

3:45

did not shoot well from deep last season

3:47

was in the low thirties last

3:49

season. This season better than 40% from

3:51

three. He was on fire tonight

3:54

and every time the nets wanted to make

3:56

a run every time. And the Lakers, let's

3:58

face it, they tripped over their. Would you

4:00

be the number of times can turn of the ball

4:02

over, but every time that I've tried to make a

4:04

run. There. Was le Bron. Hidden.

4:07

Another three. Hit. Another three and

4:09

another three every single time. The brawn

4:11

was right there to answer to keep

4:13

the Nets at bay and ultimately get

4:15

the Lakers the when that they badly

4:17

needed. Once again, the Lakers for the

4:19

game should fifty seven percent for the

4:21

field. The Nets. It's not like they

4:23

shot poorly. thirty six percent from three,

4:25

forty three percent of the field that

4:27

great. But the Lakers seventeen turnovers back

4:29

they had that was ten or eleven

4:31

in the third quarter alone. And that

4:33

was where things start to get. A.

4:36

Little bit close, but the brawn James

4:38

again was right there. To.

4:40

Slam the door shut All the Brooklyn that's

4:42

a good final. Score was one Eleven and

4:44

ninety three Lakers get the when I when

4:47

we get into some your are questions comments

4:49

your Andrew. Said. Anyone

4:51

else really liked what game show to

4:53

special defense move really well too broad

4:55

is insane or bench. Was just sad

4:58

that I so. As just

5:00

two points to points for

5:02

the game. For. The Lakers

5:04

bench Davidson was one for for hearing.

5:07

Over. To for dinwiddie in twenty one minutes.

5:09

over one from calling counsel them over to

5:11

for for a prince who took a tough shot

5:13

to the ribs. Hopefully he's okay. But.

5:16

Yet Lakers vents. One. For

5:18

nine shooting. Through. Points Know

5:20

free throws not and. Use.

5:23

Not. Great. Not. Great, But let's talk a

5:25

little bit about Gibbons. It. So. Gave

5:27

Vincent returns his first game back. It's.

5:30

Almost like it's his first game of the

5:32

season. like he played in a couple

5:34

games or I guess for games early on

5:36

in the season that he picked up. ugly

5:39

was as fifth game I've a this was

5:41

late December and. Instantly that the

5:43

knee was not ago it's or was of getting

5:45

surgery. Honesty. I. Really do look at

5:47

it like this is kind of his first game

5:49

of the season. He was so bad when he

5:52

played before you could see his knee was quite

5:54

right and now he comes back. He's healthy. And

5:57

there was some good or bad, which is to be expected.

5:59

From. david Overall, I thought in

6:01

the first half, I was pretty impressed with Gabe.

6:03

I thought he did a really nice job defensively.

6:05

I thought there were a number of times there

6:07

was a possession in particular where McHale Bridges got

6:10

him into the post and he went, uh-oh, uh-oh,

6:12

Gabe Vince is not that big. McHale

6:14

Bridges gets him, gets him into the post. This is going

6:17

to be bad. Gabe held his

6:19

ground really, really well and made Bridges settle for

6:21

a turnaround jump shot that missed. It was a

6:23

really nice defensive possession. I thought he was feisty.

6:25

I thought he did what you needed him to

6:27

do on the defensive side of the ball. He

6:29

had a nice lob pass. I believe it was

6:32

to AD. He was

6:34

pretty good. Now, at the end of the

6:36

third quarter, he had two back-to-back really bad

6:38

mistakes. He sagged off of Cam Thomas. Everybody

6:40

in the world could see Cam Thomas was

6:42

wanting to step into a two-for-one three. There

6:45

was like 30 seconds left in

6:47

the quarter. And rather than push

6:49

up and not allow Cam

6:51

Thomas to get that three off, he sagged

6:53

back, gave him the three, then closed the

6:56

space and actually fouled him and gave Cam

6:58

Thomas a four-point play. And then Vincent immediately

7:00

followed that up with a turnover on the

7:03

offensive end. So that was a rough, you

7:05

know, 10 seconds of play there from Gabe

7:07

Vincent. But big picture overall, I thought it

7:09

was a pretty solid performance and a good

7:12

bounce back from him or a good return

7:14

for him and happy to see him back in

7:16

there. Now, again, we ve talked a lot about

7:19

what happens to the rotation when Gabe Vincent is

7:21

back. And maybe

7:23

this is a little bit different

7:27

because you had no Jackson

7:29

Hayes in this game. Jackson Hayes did not play,

7:31

was not available due to a calf contusion. So

7:33

maybe things are a little bit skewed due to

7:35

that. But

7:37

we saw Gabe Vincent come in, get 14 minutes. Cam

7:40

Reddish only got minutes

7:43

in garbage time. That

7:45

was it. Garbage time minutes for

7:47

Cam Reddish. And that was all.

7:50

He got a total of two minutes

7:52

in this game. So had the

7:54

game not been a blowout, Cam Reddish probably doesn

7:56

t see minutes. So there s your answer right

7:59

there. to the rotation, we

8:01

talked about Max Christie would probably lose the

8:03

limited minutes that he got. That is indeed

8:05

what happened. He only played in three this

8:07

game and it was only in garbage time and

8:10

that Cam Reddish would probably lose his minutes as

8:12

well. Again, that's exactly what happened. So that's where

8:14

Gabe Vincent's minutes are going to be coming from,

8:16

from Cam Reddish, for Max Christie. Their

8:19

role, I think, is essentially gone in the

8:21

rotation for right now. As long as everybody

8:23

is healthy, we'll see how Torian Prince's ribs

8:25

are doing. But assuming everybody else is healthy

8:27

from here, it does appear

8:30

until Jared Vanderbilt returns. Hopefully that's soon.

8:32

He was actually out shooting before the

8:34

game. So maybe that's a good sign.

8:36

But until Vandal returns, it looks like

8:38

Gabe Vincent is taking Max Christie and

8:40

Cam Reddish's role. And hopefully

8:42

he can give the lake or something. Remember,

8:44

he's a guy who they spent their mid

8:46

level exception on or most of it anyway.

8:48

And if he can provide something for this

8:51

team, that would be really big, potentially heading

8:53

into the playoffs. Again, though, first game back

8:55

overall, pretty happy with what Gabe

8:57

Vincent did out there. Tina,

9:00

with an interesting comment, whoops, wrong

9:02

one there. It was an early master lock on Dylan

9:04

Brooks. Tina said Gabe and Spencer shouldn't

9:06

play together. I agree with that, Tina. I think

9:08

that what we should be seeing is

9:11

a lot of Gabe, and in fact, in

9:13

terms of familiarity, I think it makes sense.

9:15

Dilo and Dinwiddie together a lot, and

9:18

Reeves and Gabe together a lot. I

9:20

think that would make some sense to

9:22

allow the synergy between De'Angelo Russell and

9:25

Spencer Dinwiddie from their time playing together

9:27

already, ironically, in Brooklyn to really allow

9:29

those two to thrive together. And of

9:31

course, you're going to get some Dilo

9:33

and Austin minutes, but Dinwiddie and Gabe

9:36

together, while they give you a little

9:38

bit defensively, they're not near the offensive

9:40

threats that Reeves and Dilo are. So

9:42

I agree with you on that. I'd

9:44

want that offensive punch out there and

9:47

use Gabe, use Dinwiddie as a

9:49

method to add a defensive player in the

9:51

back court next to Reeves or next to

9:53

Dilo, but not necessarily next to each other.

9:56

All right. Let's see what else we've

9:58

got here. Aqua,

10:03

two bench points. I understand the goal isn't to

10:05

play Spencer ball, but he is in a spot

10:07

up shooter. Let him create for the second unit.

10:09

What was the point of signing him? I

10:12

don't mind him as a secondary creator. I don't

10:14

mind him if Reeves is on the floor. If D

10:16

low's on the floor, I don't mind Spencer. Didn't

10:18

what he is a secondary creator at all. I

10:21

think he's just fine in that role. And I

10:23

would like to see him utilize more there. I

10:25

wonder how much of this was gave. Vincent was

10:27

back. Things were kind of thrown off with that.

10:29

But yes, in games recently,

10:32

we've seen a little bit more of Dinwiddie

10:34

getting to create, getting to produce a bit

10:36

didn't really happen in this one and a

10:38

bit unfortunate because we

10:40

focus on, well, it's this Dennis Schruder revenge

10:42

game playing against his former

10:44

team, the Lakers. It

10:46

was also a Spencer Dinwiddie revenge game. Remember the

10:49

nets of the team that traded Dinwiddie to Toronto.

10:51

And then they waved him. He became a Laker, which

10:54

by the way, he, um, he said

10:56

that, uh, recently

10:58

Dinwiddie said he 1000% wants to stay

11:00

with the Lakers this summer. I

11:03

mean, sure. Sure. If

11:05

he's, if he is, if he's

11:09

willing to take a minimum to do

11:11

it, I don't know if he is, maybe there's a

11:13

bigger offer out there, but if he is, I'd have no

11:15

problem with that. No problem with Dinwiddie

11:17

coming back. You could do a

11:19

lot worse than Spencer Dinwiddie. We're talking about a

11:21

bench rotation guard. Yeah. Why

11:24

not? Why not? Uh, the two

11:26

bench points thing though. Beyond

11:28

just Dinwiddie, perhaps being that

11:30

being an issue with Dinwiddie, that's

11:33

also, I think where Jared

11:36

Vanderbilt potentially returning helps,

11:38

right? Vanderbilt returning, if he

11:41

can get to 100%, again,

11:43

he was out basically shooting flat footed jumpers

11:45

before the game. I should say flat footed

11:47

set shots before the game. I

11:50

don't know how soon he's going to be coming back.

11:52

We're hoping sometime in early April, but Hey, we're there

11:54

tomorrow is April. Right. So I don't

11:57

know how quickly he's going to be back just yet. I hope

11:59

he's. back before the end of the season. But if

12:02

Rui, and it doesn't necessarily even mean

12:04

you have to bench Rui, but if

12:06

Rui can share some more minutes with

12:08

the Lakers bench, that goes a

12:11

long way and perhaps even just solves your

12:13

scoring problem off the bench. I mean, tonight

12:15

Rui was fantastic. 20 points, 10 boards,

12:17

four assists, one block, eight at 12 shooting,

12:19

one at four from three. Rui had an

12:21

excellent performance here in this game. And he

12:24

gives you that instant scoring with the bench

12:26

unit. The right now it does seem to

12:28

be lacking. Again, is Torian

12:30

going to score zero points and hurt his ribs

12:32

most nights? No, he's going to give you a

12:34

few points. So

12:36

that is Spencer Dinwood. He's going to

12:38

give you zero points most nights. Now, again,

12:41

he only took two shots in

12:43

this game. So that's not going to be typical,

12:45

but still, I think it's fair to say over

12:48

the last few weeks, the Lakers bench has needed

12:50

a little bit of a scoring

12:52

boost. And so when Vando gets back into the

12:54

mix, even if it's not to start Jared Vanderbilt,

12:56

even if he's at 80% of Vando, if

12:59

he can just give you another

13:02

player in the rotation that can shift

13:04

a few of Rui's minutes to

13:06

where he's on the floor with the bench group, I

13:08

think that might help to mitigate.

13:10

As we saw late in the game, I

13:13

might help to mitigate this problem. We saw

13:15

it in garbage time, Rui was still out

13:17

there and you have, you know, Cam

13:20

Reddish was out there and

13:22

Max Christie missed a couple of shots and that

13:24

kind of stuff was happening. Max Lewis missed a

13:26

shot and then, oh, we need a bucket. Okay,

13:28

I didn't need is a strong word there. It

13:30

was just, hey, we'd like to score one here.

13:32

Here, give the ball to Rui. Okay, pull up

13:34

jumper, boom, that's it, right? So

13:38

shifting some of Rui's minutes so that he can

13:40

play more time alongside the bench might

13:42

help out, help to solve that bench scoring problem,

13:44

which I think has been something that we've seen

13:46

now over the last few weeks. All

13:49

right, speaking of Rui, this is another one

13:52

in chat. You guys can let me know if I'm wrong, but

13:55

I think this is pretty easy. We talked about the star

13:57

in your role. So fire it off, who's the star in

13:59

your role? from this game. Star

14:01

in your role. Star

14:05

in your role on

14:07

this Easter Sunday. Who

14:10

is it? Star

14:13

in your role. I've

14:16

got people still saying LeBron.

14:21

Yeah. It's

14:24

as I'm seeing it you chat you guys get

14:26

it you know where we're going with this you

14:29

know where we're going with this it's

14:31

Rui there's no question look

14:33

at this we're all on the same

14:35

page here we're on the same page

14:38

everybody knows it's

14:40

Rui Hachimara Rui

14:43

is the star in your role from this game

14:45

and look there were other guys who had solid

14:47

performances as well but

14:50

Rui Hachimara again you know you look

14:53

at Dilo 18.6 assists four

14:55

steals there's four for 11 from three which

14:57

is not ideal for him but it's not

14:59

like he had a bad performance Austin 12

15:01

7 and 6 by the way

15:04

Austin's rebounding something that's really

15:06

improved lately last few games is rebounding it's

15:08

gotten much much better but 0 for 4

15:10

from 3 for lost and Reeves so really

15:12

unless you want to give it to AD

15:14

which I always kind of the

15:16

fact though you know eliminate

15:18

AD from the discussion and AD was was great

15:21

in this game make no mistake 24 points we

15:23

should talk more about him 24 points 14 boards

15:26

three blocks nine of 12 shooting

15:28

and he hit a three and

15:30

he talked about that in a minute that three

15:32

pointer but Rui I don't

15:35

like going star in your role for a guy

15:38

like AD because he's you know the expectations are

15:40

just higher from him and his

15:42

paycheck is is

15:44

higher as well tells you that the expectations

15:46

are higher for him so Rui Hachimara 20

15:48

points 10 boards 4 assists 8 of 12

15:51

shooting he was great making those

15:53

backdoor cuts and I love the way

15:55

the Lakers they have been able to

15:57

capitalize putting Rui along the baseline teams

15:59

continued to try or sometimes get switched into

16:01

this situation where they put a small on

16:03

Rui and think they can get away with

16:05

it and the Lakers go, oh what?

16:08

Oh you put a dude who's 6'3

16:10

on Rui? He's 6'8 with a 7'2

16:12

wingspan. Here you go Rui and

16:14

they give him the ball and they let him go to work and

16:17

it's great. Rui does a nice job

16:19

there. A lot of times he cuts

16:21

along the baseline too and will get finishes

16:23

there. There's moments where Rui will make some

16:25

mistakes and things like that. He blew a

16:27

fast break by just fumbling the

16:30

basketball but for the

16:32

most part Rui has really thrived in that

16:34

role kind of along the baseline there taking

16:36

the corner three when it's open and otherwise

16:38

waiting for everybody to fall asleep because they're

16:40

watching LeBron do LeBron things or AD do

16:42

AD things and then Rui just sneaks

16:45

along makes a cut and gets a dunk

16:47

and he's done a nice job of that.

16:49

So Rui Hachimura I thought was was excellent

16:51

in this game. I also love that he's the kind of

16:53

guy that teams will

16:56

cheat off of him and he

16:58

can make them pay consistently. That's what I

17:00

talk about a lot. It's important that you

17:02

punish teams for their choices. You

17:04

have to make them pay for the choices

17:06

that they make. You're gonna double AD. Okay

17:09

but then we're gonna move the ball and the guy

17:11

who it winds up with whether it's Austin whether

17:13

it's Dilo whether it's Rui whoever it is we're

17:15

gonna trust that guy's gonna knock down the open

17:17

shot that you're creating by sending a double at

17:19

AD. We're gonna counter that. Rui

17:22

has the ability to make teams pay for leaving him.

17:24

We've seen it against Memphis. We saw it a few

17:26

days ago. We saw it in the playoffs since last

17:28

year and he's got bailout ability

17:30

meaning if the shot clock's winding down

17:33

you don't have to throw the ball

17:35

to LeBron or AD. You

17:37

can give it to Rui and about and

17:39

against just about anybody at the very least

17:41

he can get his 15-foot jumper which he

17:43

makes at a decent enough clip. So

17:45

I think Rui's done a really nice job overall

17:47

this season and I really like what we've seen

17:49

out of him recently. He's been good in the

17:51

starting lineup. I think Jared Bandybelt coming back allows

17:54

you to even to expand Rui's role in the

17:56

way that he can lift up the scoring

17:58

of that bench unit as well. well. All

18:00

right, let's see what

18:03

we've got here. I'm

18:09

seeing a lot of the chat, check, check comments coming

18:11

in here. Jared

18:16

said crazy. What happens when you go into

18:18

a game focused and take the first quarter

18:21

seriously? Great win. And the Lakers led what

18:23

was it 17 to nothing, I believe, at

18:25

one point in the first quarter? Yeah,

18:29

that's nice. Now, I

18:31

can say the Lakers defense was focused. Some

18:34

of that we have to admit was the

18:37

Nets just missing shots. And there was regression that

18:39

eventually hit, they started draining shots, the second quarter,

18:41

they were red hot, then they hit them again

18:44

in the third, but, but the Lakers did come

18:46

out focused and they capitalized on the Nets missing

18:48

those shots. And they went to attack mode. Now

18:50

you could feel the Lakers their energy, their intensity,

18:52

their focus, whatever you want to call Wayne

18:55

a little bit through certain stretches, the game,

18:57

which is normal that that will happen. But

19:00

nonetheless, the Lakers looked like

19:02

they came out bothered by losing to the

19:04

Pacers and said, we need to bounce back

19:06

from that. And that's exactly what

19:08

they did. They came back, they bounced back against

19:11

the Nets in this one and they were again,

19:14

fantastic. I want to

19:16

take a quick peek here at the scoreboard right now

19:18

around the NBA. The Thunder

19:20

are right now down with four minutes to play

19:23

in the third down eight. I kind

19:25

of want the Thunder to win there because you want

19:28

Denver to be stuck in the third seed. Denver

19:32

got a blowout win over

19:34

the Cavs earlier today, which again

19:36

was not ideal. I know

19:38

there's the whole Nick Wright theory out there that no,

19:40

no, no, the Lakers want the Nuggets in round one.

19:42

They want to see them while they're at their healthiest

19:44

and all that kind of stuff. I'm

19:47

not of that mindset. I don't want to see the

19:49

Nuggets until the West finals. And I prefer that somebody

19:51

else knocks them off on the way there because

19:54

I don't like the matchup. And I think by

19:56

waiting, not only that, even if you're the gung

19:58

ho, I don't care. We can beat the Nuggets,

20:01

you know, we're gonna do that. That's

20:03

fine I think waiting till later

20:05

just allows Jared Vanderbilt to get that much healthier

20:07

and maybe into the mix there So I

20:10

would I would prefer to wait to see the Nuggets

20:12

right now The Warriors are beating so I want the

20:14

Nuggets down in the three seed To

20:17

see I don't want them in the one seed where the Lakers are

20:19

more likely if they get through the play in To see them in

20:21

round one And again, if you

20:23

disagree more power to you, that's fine But

20:26

warriors up right now Seven

20:28

on the Spurs at the end of the third quarter

20:30

with 40 seconds to play in the third Would

20:33

like to see the Spurs win that game

20:35

might be tough But would obviously be ideal

20:37

if they won that game the Wolves down

20:39

for to the Bulls I'd prefer to see

20:41

the Wolves win that game to it once

20:43

again push Denver down, but that's me the

20:45

Mavs Blowing out the Rockets up 20 with

20:48

1130 to play You

20:51

can make an argument either way on that one

20:53

like the Rockets losing I guess You

20:56

know it limits the floor for the Lakers of the

20:58

Rockets You know moving up and if the Lakers were

21:00

to go in a losing streak or something But

21:02

the Mavs losing would have pushed them

21:04

maybe down a little they've been winning I don't think

21:06

the Lakers are gonna reach the Mavs anyway, but nonetheless,

21:09

that's not the There's good

21:11

and bad that comes without out that

21:13

outcome. So taking a quick peek at

21:15

the standings I'll show you guys

21:17

what I'm looking at here The

21:19

Lakers right now it surprise surprise, right?

21:21

They're still in the nine seed Lakers

21:24

still sitting in the nine seed right now and They've

21:27

been stuck there for a long time and the

21:29

reason for that is because the rest of the West keeps

21:31

winning So take a look at this It's

21:35

only a chick a Jump

21:40

a block It's only

21:42

a serve It's only

21:45

a tackle a run. It's

21:47

only for the fans After

21:50

all, it's only pressure you

21:53

got this Adidas Oh.

22:51

episode is brought to you by Pepsi

22:54

Wild Cherry. The

23:21

Lakers are very much in pursuit here, but

23:24

now they've got, coming up, you've got Toronto

23:26

and then second night of a back-to-back, Washington.

23:28

Both bad teams, both tanking teams, you should

23:30

win both those games, but a back-to-back on

23:32

the road, particularly you've got the trap game

23:35

of it being the last game of a

23:37

road trip, you never know what's

23:39

going to happen there. Then you've got some

23:41

more difficult games. You've got a back-to-back with

23:44

Cleveland and Minnesota. Those two teams, back-to-back, is

23:46

going to be tough. So right now, the

23:49

biggest tea for the Lakers to move up,

23:51

you're rooting for Kings losses

23:53

and Suns losses. And then in

23:55

order to maintain your floor at

23:57

the nine seed, it's Warriors losses.

24:00

Those are the three most important things right now

24:02

for the Lakers in terms of what other teams

24:04

do. It's the Suns losing, the

24:06

Kings losing, the Warriors losing. Again, I would

24:08

like to see the Denver Nuggets stick in

24:10

that three seed and not move up to

24:12

one. So that would be another

24:15

thing. But right now we can really only focus

24:17

on what the Lakers are doing. The most

24:19

important thing, Suns lose, Kings lose, Warriors

24:21

lose, Lakers win. And of course those

24:24

things all don't matter much unless the Lakers have

24:26

to win. Take care of business on their own

24:28

and then hope some other things happen there. All

24:32

right. Let's go

24:34

here. Is

24:38

playoff Rui a thing and is

24:40

he back? So is playoff

24:42

Rui a thing? Yes.

24:45

Yeah, playoff Rui is a thing. He

24:47

is, as I recall,

24:49

as crazy as this sounds. Rui

24:52

Hachimura is

24:55

the NBA's leader in

24:57

three point percentage in the

24:59

playoffs. And I'm not

25:02

talking about like last season. I'm

25:04

talking about all time. Rui

25:07

is the all time three point percentage leader. Now

25:10

it's a small sample, a smaller sample size than

25:12

some other guys, of course. So there's plenty

25:15

of context there to get into, but he is

25:17

a positive playoff performer. And that's what we've seen.

25:20

Is playoff Rui here? Well, let's take a peek at

25:23

what he's been doing in

25:25

the month of March since we're right

25:27

here at the end of March. Let's

25:30

see how Rui's month has looked. And

25:32

I can tell you, as I'm pulling it up, I know it's

25:34

been really good. All right, Rui for

25:37

the month of March, Rui

25:40

Hachimura, 59% from the

25:42

field. 49%

25:47

from three, four and a

25:49

half rebounds. You'd like that to go up, but guess

25:51

what? Three of his

25:53

last four games, he's had double

25:55

digit rebounds. Three of his last

25:58

four. Now, The

26:00

one that he didn't he had zero

26:02

rebounds. So that's not ideal but three

26:04

of his last four really has had

26:06

double-digit rebounds and That

26:09

was his first time all season touching

26:12

double-digit rebounds. So think about that So perhaps

26:14

there's a mindset change there if he's done

26:16

it three times in his last four games

26:18

and didn't do it at all Throughout

26:21

the rest of the season we've talked about how really needed

26:23

to become more of a factor on the boards Maybe

26:26

there has been a bit of a shift there with Rui

26:28

Hachimura It could just be

26:30

coincidence But the fact that he's done it

26:32

three times now in four games when he never

26:34

did it before this season I

26:36

think there's probably something to that. So he's

26:38

been great there and he's improved over the

26:41

last few games plus 17

26:43

points in total from Rui Hachimura.

26:45

He's been excellent and If

26:48

Rui is activating playoff mode, I just

26:50

hope it continues through the playoffs He's

26:53

been really good. And you know what else? All

26:55

those teams who when the

26:58

Lakers were talking to them at the trade deadline saying

27:01

Well, you know, I don't

27:03

know Rui Maybe

27:06

he's neutral value may be negative. He's got

27:08

two more years left on his deal We

27:11

don't know we don't want that two more

27:13

years on his contract That

27:16

could be a bad contract right there Yeah,

27:19

the the Lakers I

27:21

think Hung up

27:23

the phone those teams and rightfully

27:25

so that we know what Ruby is We

27:27

know he's a he's probably a value on his

27:29

contract right now He's certainly not overpaid on his

27:32

deal and I think we're seeing that

27:34

right now Can

27:38

we trade for McHale McHale bridges so yeah

27:40

salary is not too high But

27:42

the problem is I don't think the Nets want to move him I

27:44

mean they've Reportedly turned down what was

27:47

a big offer from the Rockets at the trade

27:49

deadline that would have included Some

27:51

of their picks now We don't know if there were protections

27:53

on those or what that would have looked like plus Jalen

27:55

green For bridges and Jalen green's

27:57

been going nuts so

28:00

That doesn't look great. That tells you how

28:02

highly the nets value bridges. Now, I

28:04

don't necessarily think that's the right decision. I

28:07

don't think that's the right decision for them because

28:10

bridges is 27. He's going to be 28

28:13

next season. By the time they truly rebuild this

28:15

roster and who knows what's going to happen to

28:17

Nick Claxton, uh, this summer and when he hits

28:19

free agency, but. Miquel bridges

28:22

is not a one a guy. I think

28:24

he would look great next to LeBron

28:26

and AD. They'd be great there. But

28:29

the nets apparently want to build around him as

28:31

though he's a one a guy. Like he is

28:33

the build a cornerstone for their future.

28:36

I don't agree with that. If I'm,

28:38

if I'm the nets and the rockets

28:41

called me up and said, Hey, Jaylen green,

28:43

plus your picks back, all

28:45

of them. Giraffe

28:48

day style, Kevin Costner. I

28:50

want my picks back all of them and

28:52

David Putney because I feel like it. If

28:55

that's the case and the

28:57

nets, I would have said yes. And

28:59

yeah, let's do this. Let's

29:01

do that. Let's get our picks back and let's really

29:03

do this the right way. Now

29:05

again, it's possible the rockets may have said, Hey,

29:07

we'll give you your picks picks back, but they're all

29:10

lottery protected or something. I don't know. I don't

29:12

know what, for sure what that looks like. So

29:14

there's a lot of nuance to this. That's

29:16

important. But if

29:19

the nets aren't entertaining that Jaylen

29:21

green plus picks that happened to originally belong

29:23

to the nets, which matters a lot when

29:25

you're going into a rebuild, they're

29:28

not considering moving bridges for that. I

29:31

tend to buy that they're just not moving him.

29:33

Now, if they do put them on the market,

29:36

yeah, I think the Lakers will have interest. What,

29:39

what will the price be? We'll see. And I'll

29:41

tell you what, net spans are probably going to lose their

29:43

minds. If it's less than the rumored

29:45

offer that everybody's heard about now with Jaylen green

29:48

and their own picks back. Yikes.

29:52

But I think get them. He'd

29:54

be a great fit. He'd be a great fit. Well,

29:57

LeBron and AD. All

29:59

right. My coa said I was

30:01

going to cuss the hell out of this team, but

30:04

my goat helped forget about this,

30:06

that disgraceful third wanted him to

30:08

hit 10 threes so bad. Bronn going

30:11

off in Brooklyn, never gets old, loved the crowd

30:13

there when he plays. Yeah, let's give credit. Right.

30:16

The Brooklyn crowd gave LeBron

30:18

a standing ovation, which was

30:20

fantastic to see. Give

30:22

them a lot of credit for that. LeBron put

30:25

on an incredible performance. There's

30:27

no denying that. I said the Nets don't have

30:30

fans. Maybe that's why it's kind

30:32

of like the Clippers or like net

30:35

fans. Like everybody in New York is

30:37

a Knicks fan. Like people come

30:39

to see the opposing team for the Nets. A little

30:41

bit of that dynamic where like there

30:43

aren't real clipper fans out there. Anyway,

30:46

my, my theory anyway, is that Clippers

30:48

fans don't actually exist. You've got Lakers

30:50

haters who just are LA transplants

30:52

and they've hated the Lakers all their lives.

30:54

So they can't root for the Lakers. So

30:56

they join up with the Clippers or you've

30:58

got people who live elsewhere and

31:00

will cheer for the Clippers as a way to

31:03

kind of stick it through the Lakers. It's more

31:05

Laker hate than actual clipper fandom. And I'm in

31:07

part kidding. I know there are some actual Clippers fans

31:09

out there, but I do think they're the kind of

31:11

team where there's a lot of fans

31:14

who are like fans of other teams, but also

31:17

will support the Clippers just to kind of stick

31:19

it to the Lakers a little bit. I

31:22

think there's a lot of that more than I'm a

31:24

diehard clipper fan. Right. You're

31:27

about likely to as likely to find, to actually

31:29

run into the Easter Bunny as you are to

31:31

find a diehard clipper fan. I think the same

31:34

kind of holds true for the Nets where

31:36

there's the second team. People are

31:38

diehard Knicks fans. You don't get that

31:40

quite as much though with, with the Nets

31:42

where you have diehard Nets fans, but I

31:44

think they do. I don't think

31:47

it's quite as bad as it is with

31:49

the Clippers and with the Lakers. I don't think

31:51

the effect is quite the same. I think there

31:53

are Nets fans out there. For

31:55

sure. They've had more success historically than the

31:57

Clippers have. They made it to the finals against the Lakers in

31:59

O.J. They've got some history there. So

32:02

I'm not saying there's no Nets fans, but they are

32:04

that second team in there. So I do wonder

32:06

how much of that effect is a team

32:09

like the Lakers comes in and you've

32:11

got a lot of Lakers fans in

32:13

the building. We're talking about LeBron getting

32:15

the standing ovation. How many Lakers fans

32:17

are in the building compared to like

32:19

true diehard Nets fans? You

32:21

know what I'm saying? All right. Always

32:27

gotta take a shot at the Clippers when I

32:29

can. Glad you guys enjoyed that in the chat.

32:33

Campbell said, I understand Gabe Vincent being hesitant to

32:35

shoot, but there's no excuse for Spencer and Prince

32:37

being so scared to shoot the three ball. We've

32:39

seen this a few times recently where the Lakers

32:41

have looked a little hesitant to take the

32:43

three, a little hesitant to pull the trigger when they need

32:45

to. And that's

32:48

not ideal, right? You want guys

32:50

in rhythm to take the shot. We've actually seen

32:52

a few turnovers in the last week, week and

32:54

a half, a few times where the

32:56

team has turned the ball over by overpassing. And

32:59

that's not, that mindset isn't necessarily a bad

33:01

thing. You just have to manage

33:04

it, right? And move the ball, but within reason,

33:06

when the open shot is there, you've

33:08

got to take it and you've got to take it

33:10

with confidence. And that's true of Torian Prince, who again

33:12

was dealing with a brib injury, got hit pretty hard

33:15

there, was down for a little bit. Hopefully he's okay,

33:17

fingers crossed. And

33:19

then Spencer Dinwiddie, I was surprised

33:21

we didn't get a more aggressive Dinwiddie, given

33:23

that he was back in Brooklyn. I

33:25

mean, when Spencer was with the

33:28

Nets and played the Lakers, he dropped

33:30

19. Now

33:33

going back to Brooklyn, he

33:35

dropped zero. I was

33:37

a little surprised by that. I thought we were going to see kind of a

33:40

revenge game, Spencer Dinwiddie

33:43

in this one. But we didn't,

33:46

but we didn't. As far as Gabe

33:48

Vincent being hesitant to shoot, it really felt like Gabe

33:50

wanted to get a few shots up early, wanted to

33:52

get a bucket and kind of get that out

33:55

of the way and then just kind of let the game

33:57

come to him. So he took some early shots and things.

34:00

He looks like he's a little bit uncertain of when

34:02

to shoot or whatever, but that's all 100% to be

34:04

expected Completely to

34:06

be expected with Gabe Vincent not

34:09

surprised at all that he looked you know a

34:11

little off-rhythm It would be a

34:13

shock if he didn't look off rhythm.

34:15

They're just coming back So again, not that's

34:17

not being critical of Gabe that's to be

34:20

expected that he would look that way All

34:24

right, let's get to this one Kaleidoscope

34:29

said truly glad to witness

34:32

a once-in-a-lifetime player Master

34:34

lock turnovers and fouls on threes

34:36

yeah The turnovers were

34:38

pretty bad for the Lakers in

34:40

this one the three-point fouls were not

34:43

good There

34:46

were some rough moments There were some rough moments for

34:48

sure and there were some moments

34:50

where it felt like their attention to detail Wained

34:52

a little bit which again that could

34:55

be expected when you get up by a big

34:57

lead It's hard mentally to stay locked in all

35:00

that for that long, but they

35:02

still won wire to wire, right? So was there stuff

35:04

that we could we could complain about in this game?

35:08

Sure, but it was a wire to

35:10

wire win So we'll take it We'll

35:13

take it And

35:15

a lot of that was thank you for LeBron Oh Julian

35:25

on X that just tells me you missed the beginning of

35:27

the show man If you think

35:29

we're not talking enough about LeBron you missed the

35:31

beginning of the show We've talked all about how

35:33

amazing LeBron was in this game Besides

35:39

LeBron making shots in The

35:41

fourth we played god-awful second half. I keep

35:44

saying fundamentals IQ carelessness will cost us in

35:46

the long run We're so

35:48

bad in the other areas that matter to

35:50

winning long term. I Would

35:53

I would hope anyway that if the game

35:55

was closer We wouldn't have seen such a

35:57

letdown from the Lakers in terms of the

35:59

focus the energy, the intensity, all of

36:01

those things. I would hope again, that

36:04

if the game was close or we wouldn't have seen that, the

36:06

Lakers were running away with it and

36:09

you're just kind of naturally, it's hard

36:11

to keep up that pace, that intensity,

36:13

the entire game. So I

36:16

think they were kind of a victim of their own success a

36:18

little bit in this game. But

36:20

you're right, if you do that against a better team,

36:23

you're probably gonna get caught. If LeBron doesn't go

36:25

nuts from three, maybe you get caught

36:27

and then you've got a really bad loss on your hands. So

36:31

I understand the concern, given

36:33

how far up the Lakers were,

36:35

and yes, LeBron bailed them out

36:37

a little bit, but there's no certainty

36:39

that even if LeBron isn't going crazy from three,

36:41

that they don't still come away with the win.

36:43

Maybe it's not quite as comfortable of a win,

36:45

but I understand, they

36:48

didn't dominate the entire game. They

36:50

dominated the first half. There

36:54

were some moments in the second quarter they didn't.

36:56

The third quarter was the next quarter. They

36:59

won the third by a lot. I think they won the third by

37:01

12. And then there was some

37:03

shaky moments in the fourth. But ultimately the Lakers walked away

37:05

with the win. They never trailed. And

37:08

the Nets, I think they got it down

37:10

to seven or eight at one point, and

37:12

that was as close as it was. So

37:15

I don't know, I can't be too mad at

37:17

the Lakers even though we did see them, no

37:19

question. Take their foot off

37:22

the gas pedal. All right, guys, let's

37:24

give a quick shout out to our sponsor and

37:26

that is Sleeper. As you guys know, if you

37:28

play along with us, you can get

37:30

out your Sleeper app. Super

37:33

easy to find, easy to download. You can use

37:35

the QR code that's on the screen. Let's

37:38

make some picks here. I also have the link in the

37:40

description. Use our

37:42

code LakerStation, get up to a $500 deposit match, which

37:46

is a fantastic deal that they offer. De'Aaron

37:49

Fox, six and a half assists against

37:52

Utah. I'm going more on that. Malik

37:55

Monk is out, He's

37:58

done.. Unfortunately,

38:00

he has a a sprained Mcl and he's

38:02

going to be out four to six weeks,

38:04

which means we're probably talking through round one

38:06

of the play. So.

38:09

Terrible timing for the king's that's going to mean a much

38:11

bigger burden on year and fox, and I think it's going

38:13

to be the ball in his hands that much more so.

38:15

I think it. I hit

38:17

more of those assists. So.

38:20

Will grab that one. More to get

38:22

shot. You guys can play along with me.

38:25

Ah, let's see here. Let's.

38:28

Go To. Get

38:31

a lot from the Jazz Kings

38:33

game. The.

38:36

Audrey Aden has been getting some

38:38

double doubles recently. On

38:40

of only go with him though. As.

38:43

Take a look at Your Jackson Jr. Ah

38:47

during Jackson Jr gone up

38:49

against Detroit's. Twenty one

38:51

points. He's going to jail and

38:53

duran. I. Kind of like the

38:55

thirty one and a half. Points, rebounds and assists.

38:58

For. During Jackson a little bit more.

39:01

Than we did not do that recently against

39:03

Orlando. Still, I've

39:05

got a good feeling against Detroit which are in

39:07

Jackson. I'm going to go more. About

39:09

one. I'll take that one. Ah

39:12

there are going to go more even though he

39:14

is the only clear that ones that have last

39:16

for i think against Detroit didn't get that.other members

39:18

are is going to be. A

39:21

feisty enough. To

39:23

pull that went off. And then.

39:25

Last one will do. Oh

39:30

let's go. Harrison.

39:32

Barnes on threes. Harrison Barnes hasn't hit two,

39:35

threes and a game and a while. I'm

39:38

gonna go less than two threes or less

39:40

than one point Five degrees For years in

39:43

bars are so a twenty dollar entry. Real

39:45

one hundred and thirty two dollar when we

39:47

get this one right. Six Point Six. Eggs

39:50

Multiplier Dear Departure Jackson Jr. Harrison

39:52

Barnes. On. This one

39:55

once again, no Mulligan mug.

39:57

Now that's a big deal. You know I was talking

39:59

earlier. about

40:03

the standings and how the Lakers need the

40:05

Kings to lose games. I

40:07

don't want it to happen this way. I'll be out.

40:10

Look, it'll be great if the Lakers pass the Kings. I

40:12

never want to see it happen because the guys hurt though. And

40:15

this is a big, big blow to the Kings,

40:17

especially a former Laker like Malik monk.

40:20

Um, you never want to see that, but

40:22

sprained MCL, he's going to be out. He's

40:24

a big part of that Kings team and

40:27

they lost Kevin Herder season ending shoulder surgery.

40:29

So the Kings lose two very key pieces

40:31

for them. Uh, and they do

40:33

have still a difficult schedule ahead. So

40:36

we'll see. I think it's very possible for the

40:38

Lakers to catch them, but man,

40:40

heal up quick Malik monk. Um,

40:43

just never want to see stuff like that happen. Uh,

40:46

checking in on some of the scores real quick. Wolves

40:49

now up one on the bulls with four 40

40:51

to play there. The Spurs within

40:53

eight now of the warriors, but

40:56

seven minutes to play there in the game,

40:58

the thunder down three to the Knicks with

41:00

10 42 to play there. That

41:03

could, if those results hold

41:05

the thunder losing and the

41:07

wolves now only up one, if the wolves,

41:10

uh, this would put the wolves, I believe into the one

41:12

seat, depending on how their tiebreaker with Denver looks, this would

41:14

keep the wolves in the one seed and

41:16

move the thunder down to the three seat. If

41:19

the thunder dropped this game, indeed to the

41:21

Knicks again, right now they're down three, but

41:23

still plenty of time to play in

41:26

the fourth quarter. So again, just kind of

41:28

keeping an eye on all this, the jazz

41:30

and the Kings do play tonight, the Kings,

41:32

a very heavy favorite, no Lowry marketing for,

41:35

uh, Utah. So it's a 12 and

41:37

a half point edge

41:39

for Sacramento. That's

41:41

massive, but you

41:43

never know with these things. You just never know

41:45

the Lakers were a 16 and a half point

41:47

underdog against Boston without LeBron and AD and

41:50

they won. So you never know, but

41:52

the Kings. Fairly likely to pick up a

41:54

win tonight. Okay.

41:58

Let's get A little further

42:00

into some of your questions and comments. We do need to get to

42:02

the Masterlock of the Night in just a moment. Let's

42:08

see. And

42:17

I got out of order here. There it

42:19

is. All right. Everyone says the reason we need Vando is his defense,

42:21

but we also needed Rui as the scoring punch off the bench. Two

42:24

points at the half is not good. Yes, I agree 100%. That's something I've been

42:26

talking about. Rui, you could probably use him

42:28

mixed in with that bench unit to give him that scoring. Get

42:31

rid of Prince and Spencer this offseason. Okay, so Spencer

42:33

Dinwini has said he wants to come

42:35

back to the Masterlock of the Night. He's going

42:37

to be a good player. He's going to

42:40

be a good player. He's going to

42:42

be a good player. He's going to

42:44

be a good player. Spencer

42:47

Dinwini has said he wants to come back to

42:49

the Lakers. I wouldn't have a

42:51

problem with that if it's on a veteran minimum deal, and

42:53

I think the Lakers may only have veteran minimums depending on

42:55

what happens with D-Lo. We'll see. We'll

42:58

see what happens in pre-agency with DeAngelo Russell, but

43:01

I wouldn't have a problem with Spencer Dinwini coming back.

43:03

I think he's fine. And

43:06

I wouldn't be surprised if he

43:09

took that minimum to come back with

43:11

the Lakers. He likes playing in LA.

43:13

As far as Prince goes, I

43:16

think he would like to stay with the Lakers. Ideally, he's on

43:18

a biannual exception right now. The

43:20

Lakers could give him a little raise off of that

43:23

if he's willing to take that. But

43:27

yeah, we'll see what happens with

43:29

Torian Prince. As

43:31

long as Torian is it, as long as you're not

43:33

asking Torian to play starters' minutes and

43:35

be the team's primary point of attack wing

43:37

defender, he's just fine. He didn't play him

43:40

15 to 20 minutes a night. Let

43:42

him knock in some threes every now and then, and

43:45

occasionally he can drive to the basket and get you something

43:47

there. Every once in a while, he will flash some passing

43:49

ability when he gets into the paint. And

43:51

there's nothing wrong with that. At four and a half million?

43:54

No problem whatsoever. The

43:56

problem with Torian comes when you put him into a role

43:58

that's bigger and say, play 31. tonight

44:01

and be our perimeter defender and all these

44:03

things. That's where you get yourself into trouble.

44:06

I'm no problematorian, as long as

44:08

he's within that role. Jose

44:11

Calderon. Welcome in Jose. Former

44:14

Laker. Nice win. I

44:17

know I'm late, but I can't believe they

44:19

misspelled my name on Kobe's statue. That's a

44:21

pretty good one. I know Jose.

44:23

I can't either. I can't either. Joseph

44:27

said, bah, the goat noise.

44:30

I guess it's more of a sheep noise when I do it. LeBron

44:33

decided to just be Steph Curry today.

44:35

Also, despite the shooting, I didn't mind

44:37

what I saw from Gabe Vincent. Great screen

44:40

navigation. Yes, good point out on the

44:42

screen navigation and unselfish plays. Hopefully he

44:44

finds his rhythm soon. Yeah, the cue

44:46

with Gabe, it's going to be

44:49

just patience. It's

44:51

going to take time. And I know right

44:53

now patience is in very short supply.

44:56

We don't have a lot of patience because the Lakers

44:58

have to win games right now because they're in a

45:00

big playoff race and they need to move up to

45:03

the seven or eight. So they're in double elimination territory

45:05

in the play and and all of that. All every

45:07

game matters so much. You

45:09

don't have time for patience. But the

45:11

reality is with Gabe, it's going to require

45:13

patience because he's not at a hundred

45:15

percent. It's going to take time for him to figure

45:17

it out. It's going to. But remember, this

45:20

is the guy the Lakers spent almost

45:22

all of their mid-level exception on their

45:24

one player that they could spend

45:26

more on that wasn't a returning player

45:28

was Gabe Vincent. And

45:30

there's a reason for that. And so

45:33

the Lakers are hoping that if

45:35

they are patient, if they give him his time here,

45:37

by the time the playoffs start up, which is just

45:39

a couple of weeks away now, because here we are,

45:43

that will pay dividends. That

45:46

he will be able to get back into

45:48

that rhythm and he'll be a solid

45:50

player for the Lakers. Here we

45:52

go. And choke up. Thunder said, let Gabe

45:54

sit the first of a back to back. Don't push the

45:56

knee. Yeah. I don't disagree with that. I don't

45:59

Disagree with that. I think that may be

46:01

a but not the Lakers planet probably

46:03

should be. Ah, their plan.

46:06

I think that. Ah, What

46:08

they need. Is.

46:11

Ah, they need. To

46:13

make sure the Davidson stays healthy and they don't

46:16

rush of brown part about last game. That

46:18

the don't want to put too much on him

46:20

to suit. And so that means

46:23

not playing in a back to back great. For.

46:28

All right everybody. Let's do it.

46:31

Was get it or favorite segment. The.

46:33

Master Lot. Of the night.

46:35

Let's. Go. Master

46:38

Lock of the Nicest.

46:42

Manslaughter the nights. Said.

46:45

Let me know. What was the

46:47

most annoying thing? From.

46:49

This game. Would. Bother

46:51

you the most. Plops. As Dillon

46:54

Brooks As always, Mass Like Dillon

46:56

Brooks? Yes indeed! The

46:58

bench. Bed storing.

47:02

I'm saying. The. Backcourt

47:04

minus gave Vincent. I'm

47:08

saying mass who are turnovers? Turnovers.

47:13

Of the badge I believe turnovers remember as lucky

47:15

as the Pacers. Mass like

47:18

beds. Mass.

47:20

Who Ah Kam Thomas. Turnovers.

47:24

Ah, this is probably fair

47:26

Master Lock My by. Can.

47:29

See like I can even. You know,

47:31

sometimes you think it sounds better than

47:33

it actually does. right? Like

47:35

when you're sick into the shower something like that.

47:37

You think it sounds better than it really does than

47:40

other people tell you. Know that? There's none of that

47:42

here. I have no illusion thinking that

47:44

my goat sound of fact is good in

47:46

any way. Like. It sounds terrible

47:48

even and my head so I can

47:50

only imagine. What you guys are hearing.

47:53

And I apologize. For. you

47:55

guys have inherent Alright,

48:02

Master Lock the third quarter, fouling

48:04

three-point shooters, all things that

48:06

are worthy of Master Lock for sure. Three

48:10

guard lineup, I see. The

48:12

Nets mini comeback, yeah,

48:15

all things that

48:18

are worth being Master Lock. Oh, somebody's

48:20

watching the Dodger game, Master Lock Joe Kelly.

48:25

Master Lock Lonnie Walker being a benchwarmer in Brooklyn, right?

48:27

Can we get some run here? Lonnie

48:30

Walker? Oh,

48:32

this is like somebody said my goat

48:34

noise is actually good. Alright, I'll

48:38

take that. Passing

48:41

on open shots. Another

48:43

one said I've got a great

48:45

goat noise, okay. Alright,

48:48

I will say, hey, I appreciate it.

48:51

Just increasing my confidence. Thank you.

48:55

Alright, here's what I'm going to do though.

48:57

My official Master Lock of the night. It's

49:02

Cam Thomas. It's Cam Thomas.

49:04

Cam Thomas, you're a good

49:06

player, you're a good scorer. But

49:10

why do you have to go and do this kind

49:12

of stuff whenever you play the Lakers? And I know

49:14

it's not just the Lakers, you had a good month.

49:16

But still, why you got

49:18

to do this stuff? Hit these

49:20

crazy sidestep threes, go

49:23

in these scoring binges, jump like 10 feet in the

49:25

air on your jump shots. I don't know how he

49:27

does that. See how high he

49:29

gets on his jumper? It's unreal.

49:33

Master Lock Cam Thomas for

49:36

going berserk against the

49:38

Lakers on a consistent. This

49:40

is now twice. We see the nuts twice in

49:42

the season. Both times, Cam Thomas went

49:44

nuts. Both times. Now

49:47

in the month of March, he's averaging 26 and a

49:49

half points. So it's not like he's that far below

49:52

his average. It's going to be interesting

49:54

to see what the nuts do with Cam Thomas this summer. But

49:56

still, Cam, do we really

49:59

have to... shoot 57% from three

50:01

against the Lakers. Do we really

50:03

have to get a month long

50:05

high 12 free throw attempts in

50:09

this one? That was one of

50:11

my keys to the game. Not having a

50:13

Cam Thomas blow up scoring game.

50:17

And that's exactly what the Nets got.

50:19

Now again, he's scoring even more than I

50:21

thought when I looked at the month of March. 30

50:25

this game, 28 the game before 38 the game before that. 1921

50:29

25 31. So it's pretty normal

50:31

for him to hit these numbers,

50:34

but, uh, yeah,

50:38

could have done without some of

50:40

those crazy Cam Thomas threes late in the game and he

50:42

was trying to will that team back into it. Could

50:45

have done without that. No, thank you.

50:48

Cam Thomas going

50:50

to give him the master lock. Maybe

50:52

next time he won't do that.

50:56

Uh, he does have a team option for next year at 4 million.

50:59

I have to believe the Nets will

51:01

pick that up. Let

51:03

me double check. Cam

51:06

Thomas. Yeah, team

51:09

option, but he's extension eligible this summer.

51:12

It'd be interesting to see what the Nets do

51:14

there with him. He's been really good. All

51:16

right, everybody. Thank you guys

51:18

for joining. Once again, the Lakers do pick up the win.

51:20

Stick around. Don't go anywhere though. Sean Davis is post post game
