Mario Fraioli, author of the popular morning shakeout running newsletter, joins us to share his struggles with disordered eating as a young aspiring elite runner. He thought he needed to "look the part", but sacrificed his health trying to do so. While we often focus on the Female Athlete Triad, disordered eating affects men and women, and it's important to bring awareness to all types of experiences. Mario is candid about being "called out" by a friend, which was a turning point that nudged him toward healing.
