Siebel Professor in Machine Learning in the Departments of Computer Science and Linguistics at Stanford University. He is also the Director of the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Lab. His research focuses on exploring software that can intelligently process, understand, and generate human language material. During the CVPR 2019 conference, Professor Manning was an invited speaker for the workshop “Visual Question Answering and Dialog.” The paper he advised “GQA, a new dataset for compositional question answering over real-world images” was also accepted by CVPR 2019.
